v0.2.0 — Configurable Android and Flutter preview

Choose a tag to compare

@skyjjgw skyjjgw released this 21 Oct 11:33

Configurable Android and Flutter projects

  • Configure your own APK, application ID, launch Activity, app directory and monorepo source watchers. No fixed Starcompanion/Operit2 package or project layout.
  • Windows, macOS and Linux command/path handling; Flutter launches the native Dart executable without a shell.
  • Set hotReload: false to install, launch and mirror an existing Android APK without Flutter SDK, VM polling or Dart watchers.
  • Optional trusted prepareExecutable / prepareArgs replaces mandatory PowerShell execution. A prebuilt APK needs no project scripts.
  • Default renderer preserves the app's own settings; explicit GPU/software fallbacks remain available.
  • Existing loopback-only listener, Host/Origin/token checks and native DSH sidebar integration are retained.

Upgrade notes

0.1.x users must configure applicationId and their actual app layout explicitly. See configuration and migration. The old PowerShell adapter is retained only as an opt-in Windows helper. SDKs, APKs and scrcpy are external prerequisites. Use a running emulator; physical phones and rotated-screen controls are outside the verified scope.

Verification

  • 18 tests pass on all six CI jobs: Windows/macOS/Linux × Node 22.19.0/24. Workflow.
  • Real Windows emulator test with a newly generated independent Flutter app (dev.skymoni.previewqa.preview_counter) and no preparation hook: APK install/launch, scrcpy video, Flutter attach and save-triggered hot reload (1 successful reload; visible text changed).
  • Android-only mode verified with the same APK: launch/video work, hot reload is disabled, no Flutter attachment is started. The disposable QA app is not part of the release.
  • Idle lifecycle tests check that disposal releases the listening port without starting Android.
  • Fresh official DSH 0.2.1-rc.2 CLI install into an isolated profile passes with install scripts disabled; the resolved profile includes the Android preview bundle. Configuration using the actual host Schemastery 3.18.5, plugin apply/discovery and idle disposal also pass. The user's active profile is unchanged.
  • macOS/Linux real-emulator sessions were not tested locally. Passing platform tests do not verify every driver, ABI or video codec environment.

v0.1.3: English guide and explicit project compatibility

Choose a tag to compare

@skyjjgw skyjjgw released this 21 Oct 11:05

Adds an English installation guide and a bilingual project compatibility contract.

The contract documents the fixed Starcompanion / Operit2 layout, helper scripts, Android application/activity identifiers, emulator restriction, and execution boundaries. It distinguishes the declared host version floor from tested compatibility and explains that the helper's environment allowlist is not process isolation.

Both guides and the compatibility document are included in the package. Runtime code under lib/, preparation code under scripts/, and the Cordis bundle patch are unchanged from v0.1.2.

Validation: JavaScript syntax checks and all eight existing tests pass; the packed file list includes both guides, the compatibility contract, readable runtime source and license notices. No SDK, emulator, APK, scrcpy binary or user configuration is distributed.

v0.1.2 — DSH compatibility and installation

@skyjjgw skyjjgw released this 18 Oct 05:01

Declare Node.js >=22.19.0 and DSH >=0.2.1-rc.2 compatibility in the package manifest. The official schema SDK is an optional host-provided peer. Document pinned GitHub installation and the distinction between CLI and Desktop profiles.

Verified with the official DSH 0.2.1-rc.2 CLI in an isolated DSH_HOME: GitHub tag installation, automatic bundle selection, composed plugin row, and no peer dependency issues. Plugin checks and all 8 tests pass. Windows / Starcompanion Operit2 only, with existing Android/Flutter/scrcpy tools and a prebuilt debug APK required.

v0.1.1 — GPU Android preview

Pre-release

@skyjjgw skyjjgw released this 18 Oct 04:39

Use Skia GPU rendering by default, retaining an explicit software fallback through OPERIT_PREVIEW_RENDERER=software. The companion project now starts the emulator with host graphics and 4 GB RAM. Verified on RTX 4060: full app, sidebar interaction, and Dart hot reload. This does not move ARM translation or Android software video encoding onto the GPU.

Requires the existing local Android/Flutter/scrcpy setup. No SDK, APK, credentials, or host installation files are included. Source and 8 plugin tests are available in this repository.

@skyjjgw skyjjgw released this 18 Oct 04:23

Native Android preview tab for DeepSeek Harness 0.2.1-rc.2 on Windows.

Compact scrcpy-style phone surface, automatic connection, Flutter hot reload, bounded loopback controls, and source included under AGPL-3.0.

Requires an existing Starcompanion/Operit2 project, debug APK, Android SDK/emulator and scrcpy 3.3.3. No SDKs, APKs, credentials or user profiles are included. See README for setup and emulator limitations.

Validation: 8 protocol/config/lifecycle tests passed; the current desktop host loaded the plugin; real video, controls and hot reload were verified with the local preview.
