TeslaLauncher V2 (v1.2.0 Update)

This major release brings critical architectural improvements, flawless multi-step navigation routing, and pixel-perfect UI adaptation for all display types. The application has been heavily refactored from a monolithic file into distinct modules, resulting in significantly higher stability and a smoother experience during real-world driving.

Architecture & Stability

  • Massive Codebase Refactoring: Split the monolithic main file into 4 logical modules (MainActivity, Components, MapComponents, Overlays) for drastically improved performance and maintainability.
  • GPS Listener Stability: Completely rewrote the LocationListener implementation using Jetpack Compose's DisposableEffect, preventing the GPS from suspending or freezing during UI recompositions.

Navigation & Routing

  • Instruction Chaining: The navigation engine now correctly parses the full route array from Mapbox/Google APIs. Instead of freezing at the first turn, the system automatically transitions to the next maneuver once the vehicle is within 30 meters of a node.
  • Live Distance Countdown: Distance to the next turn now counts down smoothly in real-time on both the main dashboard and Night Panel based on live GPS coordinates.
  • ETA Text Wrapping: Fixed a UI bug where the Estimated Time of Arrival text would ungracefully wrap to a second line. Hours and minutes are now securely locked to a single line.

UI/UX Enhancements & OBD2

  • Responsive Layout Support: The dashboard now perfectly adapts to Landscape and Portrait orientations. Landscape dynamically stacks the music player and widens the left panel, while Portrait intelligently wraps the instrument cluster height to prevent pushing the RPM gauge off-screen.
  • Music Player Resizing: Album art now uses fixed dimensions to prevent it from aggressively consuming text space. Long song/artist texts now utilize continuous marquee scrolling, and media buttons scale dynamically based on screen orientation.
  • Reverse Gear Lock: Manual "R" shifts are now protected. The automated OBD transmission logic will no longer override reverse back into "P" when speed drops below 4 km/h, keeping the rear camera safely active while parking.
  • DTC Engine Diagnostics: The ELM327 parser now polls for engine trouble codes (03 command) every 10 seconds and displays active fault codes (e.g., P0171) directly on the status bar and within the Night Panel.

Installation

  1. Download TeslaLauncherV2_v1.2.0.apk from the Assets below.
  2. Install over your existing v1.1.1 version (settings, OBD MAC address, and offline maps will be preserved).
