Cargo 1.0.0

The first release of Cargo. Drop an After Effects project on it and see every file it uses, without After Effects.

Scan

• Every file at a glance: footage, audio, image sequences, stills, graphics and data files with size, resolution, duration, frame rate and their place in the project panel. Thumbnails and a preview for images, video and audio.
• Used, unused, missing: green is used, yellow is used but missing, red is unused. Every file shows which comps use it, every comp shows the files it pulls in.
• Find missing footage on other drives, around the project or in folders you pick, then save a relinked copy of the project.
• .aep and .aepx, from any After Effects version that saves them.

Package

• Package Project writes a zip or folder with the project, its footage, a manifest and a relink script. Unused footage stays out unless you want it, and single comps can be packaged on their own.
• Private by default: paths, your user name, dates and the project's save history stay out of the package.

Clean up

• Delete unused files, the ones you tick, or all of a project's media. Everything goes to the Recycle Bin, and files another open project needs are never picked for you.
• Organize footage into tidy folders, or Archive a finished project to another drive.
• Duplicates, insights and batch scanning of whole folders (auto-saves are skipped).

Download CargoSetup-1.0.0.exe and run it. It installs for your account only and keeps itself up to date. The portable Cargo-1.0.0-win-x64.zip runs without installing.
