v1.0.19 — Low-End Device Optimizations & Clean UI
v1.0.16 — STEADY
• Playback Engine Stability: Expanded cache buffer to 512 MB with 30-minute protection, preventing abrupt playback halts after 2–3 songs
• Seamless Repeat Mode: Tracks loop continuously when repeat is enabled without stream or buffer exhaustion
• Live Playlist Sync: Track highlights and playing equalizer indicators update instantly when tracks change in playlists, collections, and search
• Quick Spatial 8D & Shuffle: Added 8D Audio button and Shuffle controls directly to Home featured cards and Android Lock Screen / Notification bar
• Full-Screen Minimal Updater: Redesigned in-app update experience with clean flat surfaces, full changelog viewer, and zero glow or neon effects
v1.0.15 — HOLD
• Dropping the scrubber on a part that is not loaded now holds exactly there: the old voice stops at once and playback continues from that spot the moment its bytes arrive — no drift back to the old position, no restart from the top of the song
• Loading is faster everywhere: the first chunk of a play or a seek is fetched at half the size, so the first sound arrives roughly twice as quickly, and a far seek on a song already on disk is served straight from the file instead of decoding the whole track first
• Continuous dragging is safe: rapid releases coalesce into one final seek, a stream that fails after a seek now lands on your drop position instead of the start of the song, and the seek watchdog no longer gives up while the engine is merely starvation-paused
• Audio focus: Musify asks Android for focus when it plays, so a call or another app like YouTube now pauses it — a call ending resumes, YouTube does not — and unplugging headphones pauses too
v1.0.14 — BRIDGE
• Playing a song whose cache or download had just landed no longer starts it over — the whole-file voice swap that fired right after play (and mid-song when a fast download finished) now waits until you scrub past the buffered window
• That swap is silent when it does happen: the file voice is born paused and only takes over once it has provably landed at your position, and a move that did not land keeps the stream playing instead of restarting the song
• The instant-seek window now covers the full ~30 seconds from the very first second of a song (the start buffer was still 4 MB while seek rebuilds already had 10 MB)
v1.0.13 — REFRESH
• Checking for updates is reliable now: the app always asks GitHub for the very latest release, so a new version can no longer hide behind GitHub's five-minute file cache
• Scrubbing prefetches the spot you are dragging to while your finger is down — the seek lands on bytes already on the device instead of opening a connection after you let go
• The decoded audio window is 10 MB (about 30 seconds), so seeks within half a minute are instant, engine-native moves with no network at all
• A slow-but-alive seek waits for its bytes instead of falling back to a full download
v1.0.12 — GLIDE
• Scrubbing now fetches the spot you are dragging to while your finger is still on the bar — the seek lands on bytes already on the device instead of opening a connection after you let go, the same trick that makes big players feel instant
• The decoded audio window is 10 MB (about 30 seconds) instead of 4 MB, so seeks within half a minute are instant, engine-native moves with no network at all
• A slow-but-alive seek is no longer abandoned: while bytes keep arriving the player waits for them; only a stream that stops delivering falls back to the download route
v1.0.11 — SNAP
• Seeking a streaming song is fast again: a far scrub rebuilds the stream at the position you released, sound resumes in about a second instead of after a full download — nearby seeks stay instant
• If the rebuilt stream stays silent, the download route takes over automatically at your position, so a seek always ends with sound where you put it
• The credit & welcome page can no longer come back: a durable launch marker is stamped at first start, so even swiping the app away from recents right after it appears cannot show it again
• The spectrum analyser is removed from the player
v1.0.10 — SOLID
Streaming seek can no longer silence, freeze or close the app: the audio engine is never rebuilt mid-playback. Nearby seeks are instant (engine-native, in-buffer), far seeks switch cleanly to the downloaded file at the exact spot you picked, and a fast drag always lands on the last released position. The credit & welcome page now requires a confirmed first install (a slow settings read can no longer mimic one and show it on every launch). Player artwork is sharper: albever requested at the highest 500x500 rendition with high-quality filtering.
Musify 1.0.9 — Safe instant seeking
What's new in 1.0.9
- Scrubber hardening: a stream re-seek is now transactional — the old voice keeps playing until the new one is live, and any failure restores the stream instead of leaving silence.
- Ninth-law fallback: if a rebuilt stream produces no sound within 8 seconds, playback automatically continues via the download route at the position you picked.
- Resume safety: resuming a paused stream onto a dead connection now falls back the same way.
- Update prompt: tapping LATER no longer re-opens the dialog every time you return to the app.
- Analyser restored: the FFT / wave visualiser is back on the Now Playing screen, following your saved mode.
- Credits page: shows only on a first install (flag is written the moment it is presented).
- Cleanup: removed an unused credits sheet and dead widget code; fixed a player-state flag bug.
- Bigger featured-hit poster cards on Home.
