v0.3.0
Project-local installation by default
Run from your project directory:
npx flawless-ui-ux@0.3.0 install
pnpm dlx flawless-ui-ux@0.3.0 install
bunx flawless-ui-ux@0.3.0 installThis installs for Codex and OpenCode in that project. User-wide installation now requires explicit --global:
npx flawless-ui-ux@0.3.0 install --global--project <directory> selects another existing project. Agent selection is unchanged. Existing installations, including global customizations, are preserved; no copies are moved or removed automatically. Global environment overrides apply only when global scope is requested.
This changes the default from 0.2.0. Update scripts that intentionally install user-wide to include --global. The legacy Bash alternative retains its documented --project option. Design guidance and inspection checks are unchanged. Verification manifests still require the matching CLI version; pin the previous version for older baselines.
v0.2.0
Native skill installation
Install the bundled skill directly from the published package:
npx flawless-ui-ux@0.2.0 install
pnpm dlx flawless-ui-ux@0.2.0 install
bunx flawless-ui-ux@0.2.0 installDefaults to Codex and OpenCode globally. Choose an agent with --codex or --opencode, or install only in a project with --project .. --all-agents and --global make the defaults explicit. Global paths honor CODEX_HOME and XDG_CONFIG_HOME.
The command copies the bundled references, metadata, and assets without a checkout or Bash. It preflights all targets and preserves existing installations, including files, links, and local edits. Project parent links cannot escape the selected project. Failed copies remove only newly allocated skill directories; any cleanup failure is reported.
The README now starts with native installation. Text/JSON reports and help are available. No new dependencies, force-overwrite, automatic upgrade, or browser setup is included. The Bash installer remains an alternative.
Validation covers 35 tests on Windows/Ubuntu CI and isolated package-runner installation with npm and Bun. macOS remains unverified. Design guidance and inspection checks are unchanged. Verification manifests still require the matching CLI version; pin the previous package version for previous baselines.
v0.1.1
Fixed
- Added a solid black (#000000) background to the README logo, preserving the green pencil and white wordmark for readability on light pages.
- Updated the README to load the matching logo from the published 0.1.1 package.
No changes to the CLI implementation or skill instructions. Existing verification manifests require the same CLI version that created them; use flawless-ui-ux@0.1.0 when verifying a 0.1.0 baseline.
v0.1.0
Initial release of flawless-ui-ux: a portable UI/UX skill for Codex and OpenCode with a local inspection CLI.
Included
- Product-specific guidance for creation, redesign, refinement, and review, with focused references and original design studies.
- Contextual review of recurring patterns, preserving useful content, deliberate identity, and visual expression.
contextfor selected project metadata and optional saved decisions with provenance and stale-source reporting.inspectfor explicit source files and/or a running URL, with selected axe accessibility checks, rendered observations, runtime errors, and contextual copy/icon inventories.verifyfor corresponding comparisons after corrections; missing confirmed targets and changed conditions remain unverified.- Text/JSON reports, coverage-aware exit codes, optional saved manifests/screenshots, and preservation of existing output directories.
Run
npx flawless-ui-ux@0.1.0 --help
pnpm dlx flawless-ui-ux@0.1.0 --help
bunx flawless-ui-ux@0.1.0 --helpRequires Node 22.12+. The skill installer remains separate from CLI execution. Rendered inspection needs an explicitly supplied application URL and a separately prepared compatible Chromium browser.
Validation and limits
The 28 automated tests cover runtime, source scoping, browser fixtures, correction/regression comparison, distribution, and installer preservation on Windows/Ubuntu CI. Local release validation also executes the generated npm archive with npm and Bun.
Inspection does not edit sources, start servers, download browsers, or submit forms. Selected initial-state checks do not establish full WCAG conformance, business-flow correctness, or design quality. Matched host/model design and latency evaluations remain pending.
