Updates the bundled update checker library to 5.7 and makes releases publish themselves. No breaking changes — upgrading is a drop-in replacement and needs no action on a site.
Changed
- Releases publish themselves once the version bump is merged: when a version without a tag reaches
main, the release workflow creates thevX.Y.Ztag on that commit and publishes the GitHub Release, so a release no longer needs a tag pushed by hand. The release notes are now the version's section of this changelog, followed by GitHub's list of merged pull requests, so the update details a site shows for a new version describe what changed rather than listing pull request titles. yahnis-elsts/plugin-update-checker5.6 → 5.7, the library that delivers plugin updates from GitHub Releases. The upstream release replaceswp_redirect()andhtmlentities()withwp_safe_redirect()andesc_html(), adds an opt-inautoupdatefield, and drops Bitbucket OAuth 1 support, which this plugin does not use (it only talks to GitHub). 5.7 renames the library's versioned namespace fromv5p6tov5p7, so theenableReleaseAssets()setup insmoxy.phpnow namesv5p7; the package was installed into a WordPress site and the updater was confirmed to load. No action is needed on a site.
