Kosmodock 1.3.0
Warning
This build is not notarized. macOS blocks it the first time you open it: go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway, or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Kosmodock.app.
Signed with the Kosmodock release certificate, the same for every release, so macOS keeps the Accessibility permission when you update. codesign -dr - /Applications/Kosmodock.app should end with certificate leaf = H"f939e55ec9f23e4ead5e4dfeae73036fc8b0328b".
Prefer the terminal? This verifies the checksum and signature, installs the app and skips the Gatekeeper prompt:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/soaresnro/kosmodock/main/install.sh | bashVerify downloads with shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS.txt.
What's Changed
- Add widgets, workspaces, badges, app menus and PrimoDock-style features by @soaresnro in #9

What's Changed
- Keep badges on the dock when the equal width doesn't fit by @soaresnro in #6
Full Changelog: v1.0.2...v1.0.3
Kosmodock 1.0.2
What's new
- The dock keeps its width. It used to grow and shrink a little whenever a reading gained or lost a digit (
9% CPU→12% CPU), because every capsule matches the widest one. Badges now reserve room for their widest reading. (#5) - The default "Battery" widget follows the interface language, including configs that saved it as "Bateria" or "Batería". Labels you typed yourself are left as they are. (#5)
- Install or update from the terminal with a script that checks the checksum and the signing certificate before installing (#4). See below.
Updating from 1.0.1 keeps your Accessibility permission. From 1.0.0, grant it once more.

- Keep the dock width steady and show config texts in the interface language by @soaresnro in #5
Full Changelog: v1.0.1...v1.0.2
Kosmodock 1.0.1
Releases are now signed with a fixed Kosmodock release certificate, so macOS keeps the Accessibility permission when you update. No app changes since 1.0.0.
Updating from 1.0.0? 1.0.0 was signed ad-hoc, so grant Accessibility one more time after this update: if the switch for Kosmodock looks on but Kosmodock still asks, remove it from System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility (or run tccutil reset Accessibility dev.kosmodock.Kosmodock) and open Kosmodock again. From now on, updates keep the permission.

What's Changed
- Sign releases with a pinned self-signed certificate by @soaresnro in #3
Full Changelog: v1.0.0...v1.0.1
Kosmodock 1.0.0
The first public release of Kosmodock: a macOS Dock replacement where app groups are live widgets.
Highlights
- Live widget capsules. Each group shows its apps plus live telemetry: CPU/RAM for the whole group, the Podman machine and containers (start, stop and restart them from the dock), listening ports, or the output of your own shell command.
- Launch & Tile. One click launches a group and tiles its windows (
50/50 · 70/30 · 75/25 · Grid · Max). Focus mode hides every other app. - Windows stay above the dock. An Accessibility observer moves or shrinks any window that reaches into the dock's band. Turn it off to get Intellihide instead.
- Minimize into groups. Minimized windows fly into their group's capsule, and the group's popover lists them for one-click restore.
- Hide the native Dock, safely. Your original Dock settings come back when Kosmodock quits, crashes or is force quit.
- Bento popover or inline accordion, a dock that adapts to screen width, and a Settings window. Settings live in
~/.config/kosmodock/config.jsonand reload when you edit the file. - English, Português (Brasil) and Español (España), switchable without restarting.
- No network access: no analytics, no update checks, no telemetry. See Privacy.
Requires macOS 14+ on Apple Silicon. Accessibility is the only permission it needs.
Install
Download Kosmodock-1.0.0.dmg, open it and drag Kosmodock to Applications. On first launch, grant Accessibility when macOS asks.
Warning
This build is not notarized. macOS blocks it the first time you open it: go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway, or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Kosmodock.app.
Verify downloads with shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS.txt.
