Kosmodock 1.0.0

The first public release of Kosmodock: a macOS Dock replacement where app groups are live widgets.

Highlights

• Live widget capsules. Each group shows its apps plus live telemetry: CPU/RAM for the whole group, the Podman machine and containers (start, stop and restart them from the dock), listening ports, or the output of your own shell command.
• Launch & Tile. One click launches a group and tiles its windows (50/50 · 70/30 · 75/25 · Grid · Max). Focus mode hides every other app.
• Windows stay above the dock. An Accessibility observer moves or shrinks any window that reaches into the dock's band. Turn it off to get Intellihide instead.
• Minimize into groups. Minimized windows fly into their group's capsule, and the group's popover lists them for one-click restore.
• Hide the native Dock, safely. Your original Dock settings come back when Kosmodock quits, crashes or is force quit.
• Bento popover or inline accordion, a dock that adapts to screen width, and a Settings window. Settings live in ~/.config/kosmodock/config.json and reload when you edit the file.
• English, Português (Brasil) and Español (España), switchable without restarting.
• No network access: no analytics, no update checks, no telemetry. See Privacy.

Requires macOS 14+ on Apple Silicon. Accessibility is the only permission it needs.

Install

Download Kosmodock-1.0.0.dmg, open it and drag Kosmodock to Applications. On first launch, grant Accessibility when macOS asks.

Warning

This build is not notarized. macOS blocks it the first time you open it: go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway, or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Kosmodock.app.

Verify downloads with shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS.txt.
