Customize mob drops, spawning, stats, damage, experience and despawning in Minecraft — for both vanilla and modded mobs!
Mob Settings is a lightweight, highly configurable mod that gives you control over how mobs behave in your world, through an in-game config screen or a simple config file.
- Writing Rules — the basic syntax every rule shares.
- In-Game Config Screen — what the Mods menu config screen can do.
-
Custom Mob Drops —
removeDrops,extraDrops. -
Custom Mob Spawning —
removeSpawns,addSpawns,spawnGroupSizes,lightSpawnRestrictions. -
Mob Stats and Behavior —
attributeOverrides, damageModifiers, experienceModifiers, despawnRanges. - Modded Mob Support — using mobs/items/dimensions/biomes from other mods.
- Configuration Reference — the full settings table, applying changes, multiplayer, config upgrades.
- Legacy Version 1.12 — how the original 1.12 version worked.
- Remove drops, or add extra drops with a custom chance, amount, Looting support and item data.
- Remove, reduce, or add natural biome spawns, and change spawn group sizes.
- Per-dimension rules for spawns, attributes, damage and experience.
- Entity and biome tags (
#c:bosses,#c:is_forest) and whole-mod wildcards (modid:*). - Attribute overrides (health, speed, armor, damage, size, ...), damage modifiers, experience modifiers, despawn ranges and light-level spawn restrictions.
- An in-game config screen with searchable ID lists and dedicated item/entity data editors.
- Works with modded mobs, items, dimensions and biomes automatically.
Take control of your mobs, customize your world's spawning, and make Minecraft your own!
