• Bundle Codex Temporary Companion 0.1.1 in npm and as a GitHub release VSIX.
• Install or update the companion with companion install or setup --all.
• Keep independent VS Code controls through Codex updates, repair compatible bundles after opt-in, and offer temporary terminal chat when an embedded layout is unsupported.
• Support Codex VS Code 26.930.51102 and safely upgrade older patch manifests after validating backups and compatibility.

Install: npm i -g codex-temporary-mode@3.5.0, then codex-temporary-mode companion install and reload VS Code.
