Fixed

  • Correct Benin traditional-religions festival dates: 10 January from 1998 through 2024, then the second Friday of January and the preceding Thursday from 2025.
  • Correct Ascension to Easter plus 39 days and keep Easter-based dates independent of the current time and timezone.
  • Remove the duplicated festival entry and incorrectly added extra Ramadan and Tabaski days.
  • Preserve existing holiday names, including their historical spelling and day labels, and retain the protected getIslamicHolidays() signature and prepareHolidays() extension hook for subclasses.
  • Add public name-compatibility and custom multi-day/year-boundary regression coverage.

Thanks to @egbavou in #351.

No breaking API changes. Holiday-date corrections intentionally change previously incorrect calendar results. Existing Islamic date tables are unchanged; discrepancies with local announcements remain outside this fix.

This release is based on 2.8.0 and excludes the unrelated, unreleased Greece country-code change on main.
