Looking at this bug report, you can see that "f" is left aligned. When doing the same in dokuwiki, it is right aligned which looks wrong.

• What did you do?
• What did you expect to happen?
• What happened instead?

Please also describe what steps you took to analyze the issue and what (failed) attempts you made to fix the problem yourself.

Your issue should contain everything that might help in analyzing and reproducing the issue. That includes but isn't limited to:

• versions of the involved software
• exact error messages
• debug logs (also check your JavaScript console for web related issues)

Sorry I really don't understand what this is about. What is the exact syntax you use (use a code block in your comment)? What does it look like (use a screenshot)? What should it look like (make a screenshot where it works, or draw into your first screenshot or whatever)?

In your first issue description you did not describe your issue. And also the screenshot is just to guess your problem, which I might have succeeded in doing. Please don't expect us to try harder with an answer than you did with your question...

The behavior you don't like has nothing to do with DokuWiki, but is the default behavior of the browser.

You can make changes via CSS. Here you can test some options that are available to you. Look especially at lower-alpha and upper-roman. Then it should become clear how and why it comes to the result you don't like.

Hi,
You can use list-style-position: inside, but in combination with the current dokuwiki's css this results in a large mess, so you have to modify the css further your self. Please note that content of the li-element when using 'inside' will flow directly behind the listing character. So the content of the sub-sequential li-elements are not aligned any more.

My impression is that changing this alignment of the listing characters is not so common. I think this is not something we should modify in the dokuwiki template style. As this right alignment is also used to handle more nicely longer listing characters like aa..

However, of course everybody can make his/her own changes in the css, and place them in conf/userstyle.css (to prevent overwriting at wiki updates).
