General description

The Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) is a tool used by health plans (including Medicare Advantage), to measure the quality of care using a standard set of performance metrics. These assessments are used to approximate the amount and types of services each Medicare Advantage enrollee received during a calendar year.
