FTP inbound, outbound support for folder [INT-2504]

Spring integration FTP supports file inbound and outbound support currently not folder support. It would be nice to have folder inbound and outbound support i.e. copy the whole folder from/to ftp location

I too have this requirement - I need to be alerted when any file gets added in a given remote directory, or any subdirectories. This server is owned by a third party, and we do not have control over how they name their folders.

I attempted to follow Oleg's advice (http://forum.springsource.org/archive/index.php/t-112086.html?s=302a4bcc3744906ee5dd65e19c9e9628) in order to extend FtpInboundFileSynchronizer and override synchronizeToLocalDirectory but sadly the sessionFactory and remoteDirectory instance variables are private with no protected/public accessor methods.

I'd suggest at the very least making these fields accessible so we can add functionality without having to copy/paste the entire class.

Actually I am not sure about this one. We DO support the functionality you require. All you need to do is specify file pattern as *.* or something like that and every file hat matches the pattern will be copied. Am I missing something?

Just like we can explore to any child folder if we have a parent folder in case of file integration support, need the same for ftp. Given a folder on ftp, can we access its child folders and files? currently not supported
