A discord bot made using Python for a variety of fun XKCD related commands.

Usage

This repository is just a connection between the Replit repository on which the bot is hosted (my personal use) and not meant for the best flexibility and documentation for the people wanting to use this. If you want to try it for yourself, do so AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Available bot commands

• ~help

:= Self explanatory: the saviour of all commands.

• ~today

:= Fetches the xkcd comic of the day.

• ~random

:= Fetches a random xkcd comic.

• start_daily <channel> and end_daily <channel>

:= Enables the daily XKCD comic task which sends a new XKCD comic when a new one is uploaded on the XKCD website.

• ~end_daily

:= Disables the daily XKCD comic task.

Credits

I originally began this project but went into maintenance mode shortly after. While the project was on hiatus, GreenBlob made a fork of the project and worked on it to resolve persistent issues. The current project is derived from his second repository for the bot.
