Riptide 0.2.1

Now runs on macOS 14 Sonoma and later

Riptide previously required macOS 26 Tahoe. It now supports macOS 14 Sonoma, 15 Sequoia and 26 Tahoe.

• On Tahoe the player keeps its Liquid Glass controls; on Sonoma and Sequoia they use a frosted material look.
• The app icon has a classic variant for pre-Tahoe systems.

Also since 0.2.0: README now covers Stremio addon search (Torrentio, AIOStreams, bring your own URL).

Install

Download Riptide-0.2.1.dmg, drag Riptide to Applications and launch. Signed and notarized, macOS 14+. Apple TV: see the README.

Riptide is now on Apple TV

A native tvOS app (RiptideTV) shares the library, mpv player and Trakt sync with the Mac app. It installs through Xcode; see the Apple TV section of the README. The DMG below is the Mac app.

• Phone pairing: scan a QR code and enter your keys from your phone, no remote typing
• Movies, TV Shows, Continue, Watchlist, Explore and Search tabs
• Title pages with resume / play from start, other versions and episode lists
• Skip Intro button, Up Next countdown with an autoplay setting
