The first release of Graphite UI: one color, a whole theme.
What's in it
-
The color engine. One hex resolves in OKLab into eight ramps, thirty-two roles, interaction states and light and dark themes, with every text pairing contrast-checked at AA or AAA.
-
36 governed components. Each one is held by CI to a versioned contract in
docs/contracts/and to the Figma kit. -
A shadcn registry. Install the theme, the Tailwind v4 bridge and any component as source you own:
npx shadcn@latest add https://www.graphite-ui.com/r/init.json https://www.graphite-ui.com/r/theme/0f766e.json https://www.graphite-ui.com/r/tailwind.json npx shadcn@latest add https://www.graphite-ui.com/r/button.json
Add
?level=AAAto the theme URL for the higher contrast target. -
Create. A theme builder that exports the theme as CSS, a Tailwind bridge or JSON.
-
The Figma kit. A published library whose variables use the same
--graphite-*names as the code. -
Governance checks. drift-check, token-drift, component-doc-drift, naming-check and registry-check run on every pull request, and
mainrequires them.

There is no npm package: components install as source through the registry.
