keyboard character movement.
| File | What it is |
|---|---|
BG3-Camera-Unlock-CameraOnly-macOS-arm64-1.0.0.dmg |
Camera Only — every camera change, nothing else. Your W/A/S/D and camera-pan bindings are untouched. |
BG3-Camera-Unlock-CameraWASD-macOS-arm64-1.0.0.dmg |
Camera + WASD — the same, plus W/A/S/D move your character in keyboard UI mode. |

What it does
- Vertical camera control (pitch) on the right stick, a trackpad two-finger swipe, and a middle-mouse drag — in both RPG and tactical modes.
- Configurable pitch range; per-device horizontal/vertical sensitivity for gamepad, trackpad and mouse; an L3 + right-stick zoom chord with a scroll-wheel alternative.
- Configurable camera-arm distance limits and experimental wall/floor collision assistance.
- Camera + WASD additionally enables WASD character movement in keyboard UI mode (RPG and tactical).
- Plain-text config file with validated values; a bad entry is logged and the safe default kept.
- The launcher injects the mod at launch and adds the camera key bindings to your input profile, keeping a backup. It does not modify the game executable, the app bundle, or your saves.
- Tested in-game in single-player and multiplayer, and in RPG and tactical modes. See the README for known limitations.
Requirements
Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer), macOS 12+, Baldur's Gate 3 (Steam), build 4.1.1.7398727.
Releases are ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized, so macOS blocks the first
launch. On macOS 14 and earlier: right-click the app → Open → Open. On
macOS 15+: after the block, System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open
Anyway. See SECURITY.md.
