Android release, version code 4. Upgrade the existing installation without uninstalling or clearing app data. The production signing certificate matches published 1.2.0/code 3.

Changes since 1.2.0

• Improved Timeline CSV/GeoJSON round trips and offline queue recovery with explicit resume/reconciliation.
• Downloaded Trips retain geometry and intermediate Places. Maps use viewport-based live caching instead of bulk raster downloads; complete offline basemap coverage is not promised.
• Directions from Trip Places and dropped pins use one readable flow with explicit Direct, provider-native route options, retained routes and cancellation. Hosted routing goes through authenticated Wayfarer; Direct works without a provider. Mapbox Directions remains unsupported.
• Corrected Android startup authentication preload and splash lettering.
• Trip Segments appear on initial load with blue lines, brown contrasting chevrons and readable badges. Each Segment has a Show on map checkbox; choices last for the loaded Trip and reset on unload/switch.
• Eligible missing geometry can show an explicitly labelled straight endpoint connection for display only. This is not a calculated road route; unavailable waypoint/route-point counts remain unavailable.
• Segment details show wrapping Start/Via/End rows and independent counts, preserving notes and other actions.
• The location dot, heading cone and accuracy circle now update together with retained map rendering caches.
• Group visibility, navigation startup, screen-on ownership, stale-result handling and cleanup are corrected.

Upgrade and acceptance

Local schema advances from 6 to 12. Existing preparation tests cover preservation of queued locations, pending edits, Timeline, Trip content and saved geometry; obsolete bulk raster state is removed. Preserve your installation and data when upgrading.

The maintainer reported the candidate working on device, then confirmed the remaining movement check works correctly and authorized publication. This is maintainer-reported physical acceptance, not an independently instrumented device test. Backend 1.9.12 was also reported working. New web-only proposal work (#583/#584 in Wayfarer) remains separate.

These final release notes supersede pending-publication statements in the retained preparation/checkpoint reports and changelog at this frozen source. Those records preserve historical evidence; no new binary was built for publication.
