pi-x v0.1.0

First public release of pi-x, a Chrome side-panel companion for chatting with web pages and creating interactive artifacts.

Highlights

• Chat with a page and continue the conversation from local history.
• Create and revise drawings, Markdown notes, and code artifacts.
• Open a separate preview and use Keep on top while chatting; the owner minimizes automatically.
• Connect a ChatGPT subscription or an OpenAI-compatible API provider.
• Draft, quote, and reply on X, with manual review before posting.

Install in Chrome

Requires Chrome 120 or newer. No Node.js installation is needed.

1. Download pi-x-v0.1.0.zip below, not the source code archives.
2. Extract it into a permanent folder.
3. Open chrome://extensions and turn on Developer mode.
4. Click Load unpacked and select the folder containing manifest.json.
5. Open pi-x → Settings, connect your model, and click Test connection.

Keep the extracted folder in place. Updates are manual: replace the files in the same folder, click Reload in Chrome, and refresh X tabs.

Verification

The tagged source passed 208 unit tests, formatting and type checks, source-browser tests, and extracted-ZIP browser tests on GitHub Actions. These assets are the exact ZIP and checksum uploaded by that successful verification job. Desktop always-on-top behavior should be tested on your own platform.
