Added

  • Ordered JSONL headless lifecycle events, machine-readable setup errors,
project-scoped --continue, private redacted debug logs and terminal diagnostics.
  • Searchable :hotkeys with scoped overrides for declared app, composer and
modal actions. Remove the ambiguous application Ctrl+D log shortcut.
  • Trusted Markdown project commands with literal arguments and permission
scopes that can only narrow native harness tool access.

Changed

  • Share command metadata between dispatch, completion, help and the palette;
remove shadowed routes and make :help <command> searchable by command root.
  • Resolve native model defaults from configured credentials and installed
local models, and make doctor report the same selection and setup state.
  • Load command implementations lazily for fast version/help output and remove
the fixed half-second TUI launch delay.
  • Make :compact summarize immediately with optional instructions while
retaining the full transcript and resuming from saved compacted context.

Fixed

  • Replace destructive Git-based checkpoints and the incomplete redo path with
durable guarded task snapshots. Preserve earlier edits, index state and
commit history; refuse to overwrite newer file edits.
  • Persist file-by-file review undo alongside whole-task recovery, and roll
restoration back when checkpoint storage fails.
  • Preserve the launch profile and billing choice when continuing native
Codex sessions; distinguish vendor identity from runnable harness names.
  • Use native Codex branching for headless forks and retain the source session.
Restore the saved runtime when general project or environment defaults change.
  • Persist final replies in non-streaming native sessions so continued tasks
and forks retain the complete conversation.
  • Apply explicit headless approval choices through supported permission
adapters, reject unenforceable modes, and report approval blocks clearly.
  • Support debug logging on Windows with Python 3.12 as well as 3.13.
  • Save an original-history recovery branch before a successful rewind.
  • Keep the transcript and draft intact when rewinding stored session history
fails, and report the error without a success notification.
  • Use :approval ask|auto|deny for tool approval policy, with consistent help,
completion and command-palette entries. Show the current policy in the header
separately from Chat, Build or Plan mode.
