Read-only file and diff browsing in the main workspace, with a persistent
file navigator, labeled sidebar sections, four pinned previews, per-file
reading positions, and optional source/conversation split on wide terminals.
Contents and Changes controls with explicit working-tree, staged and latest
task baselines, plus file search, go-to-line, section paging, copy and reload.
Narrow terminals use a temporary full-width navigator. Vim motions scroll
the visible reader when Vim mode is enabled.
Black sidebar surfaces in dark themes and bold language icons/badges in file,
search, context and change lists, without requiring a patched terminal font.
A persistent Sidebar toggle in the header, also available with Ctrl+B.
Keep the composer visible when files open. A labeled Show / Hide prompt
button at the top of the file viewer and F4 shortcut toggle it alongside
an open file, preserving the draft and reading position.
A wider sidebar resize target with a visible grip and Narrow / Widen buttons
for adjusting its width without dragging. Resize colors follow the theme.
Fixed
Keep approval requests, agent questions, and connection setup visible when
returning from file review, while preserving the task draft.
Keep sidebar selection, source syntax, code backgrounds and line numbers
aligned with the active theme, including live theme changes. Recognize more
source filenames instead of falling back to plain text.
Parse Git status without dropping filename characters or misclassifying
unstaged files. Preserve spaces, Unicode and renamed paths; preview untracked
text files and select the correct change row with mouse or keyboard.
Ignore stale file/diff loads after another selection or return to Chat.
Preserve task drafts and transcript reading positions while browsing.
Bound source loading and preview caches, and defer hidden harness discovery.
Keep the sidebar opt-in and the existing connection workflow.
