Bloodborne PC 1.9.8.4

@Supermedo Supermedo released this 08 Nov 10:47

Seamless co-op

  • Russia route for Seamless co-op: with "Russia route" on (Online page or the Seamless co-op page), Seamless co-op now connects through the relay to the seamless server. Before, it went straight to the server, which networks in Russia block.
  • Chalice glyph search finds every SuperMedo dungeon in Seamless co-op (server fix, live already).

Seamless co-op is BBSC by CLSAMG22. The source of this release's bb-probe-seamless (GPL) is bb-probe-seamless-1.9.8.4-source.zip (unchanged since 1.9.8.3).

Online

  • Russia route (Online page, SuperMedo Server): for players whose network in Russia cannot reach the SuperMedo server. The game and the launcher connect through a relay to the same server and the same players. Leave it off if online already works for you.

Seamless co-op

  • Your own world's progress stays yours: after helping in another hunter's world, your world came back with their world's state (bosses, doors, Chalice items they did not have). The host's world written into the guest is no longer kept as the guest's own progress.
  • The Bath Messengers in the Hunter's Dream talk again in seamless co-op.

Seamless co-op is BBSC by CLSAMG22. The source of this release's bb-probe-seamless (GPL) is bb-probe-seamless-1.9.8.3-source.zip.

Bloodborne PC 1.9.8.2

@Supermedo Supermedo released this 07 Nov 16:30

Bloodborne PC 1.9.8.2

An online fix on top of 1.9.8.1.

Fixed

  • Summoning the same hunter again joins again. When a host summoned the same hunter a second time (on the next layer of a Chalice dungeon, or after an earlier summon ended), the game reused its old connection to them. If that connection had died, the summon never reached them and the host waited a minute for nobody. On SuperMedo Server this was most failed dungeon summons (22 of 31 in 16 hours). Now a connection that stopped answering for 5 seconds is made anew: the server is asked where the hunter is (and tells them to connect back), and the server's relay is used when routers block the direct way. A connection that still answers is used as before.

Also on SuperMedo Server (already live, no update needed)

  • Summon passwords find your friend anywhere in the same area, or anywhere in the same Chalice dungeon, not only near you.
  • Chalice dungeons: a host in a Chalice dungeon the server doesn't have (made offline or on another server) no longer gets signs from the Hunter's Dream. Those helpers could never load that dungeon. To play a dungeon together, use one made online or found by its glyph.

Seamless co-op is BBSC: Yharnam Together by CLSAMG22: https://github.com/CLSAMG22/BBSC. This port runs BBSC's game files, co-op event patcher and HUD with its own engine and launcher, under BBSC's GPL-2.0 licence. BBSC's source is on its release page; this port's change to its event patcher is listed in seamless\bbport-seamless.txt. Thank you, CLSAMG22!

The source of this port's seamless engine (bin\bb-probe-seamless.exe, unchanged since 1.9.8) is attached to the 1.9.8 release.

Linux (new)

Bloodborne-Linux-x86_64.AppImage is the Linux version of 1.9.8.2 (Steam Deck, Bazzite, most desktops). Make it executable and open it: the launcher asks for your game folder (1.09). Saves and settings live in ~/.local/share/bbport, the launcher's own settings in ~/.config/bbport-launcher.

  • Online on SuperMedo Server: sign in with Discord, or with your Online ID and password, on the Online page; parties work as on Windows.
  • Quit to Desktop, PC Settings, Rebirth at the Doll, field of view, the ultrawide HUD, the trophy pop-up with pictures, save backups at start, FreeSync/G-Sync and low-latency options.
  • Cheats and debug features stay offline: Play asks first when they are on.
  • Seamless co-op is Windows only.
  • Tested on Bazzite with a Radeon RX 7600; tell us on Discord how it runs on your PC.

Bloodborne for Windows 1.9.8.1: seamless co-op starts with more mods

Choose a tag to compare

@Supermedo Supermedo released this 06 Nov 23:04

Bloodborne PC 1.9.8.1

A fix for seamless co-op on top of 1.9.8.

Fixed

  • Seamless co-op starts again with mods whose event files hold an empty event. It stopped with "Making the co-op event files failed" (event ...: its 0 instructions at -1 are outside the instruction table). Event files written by mod tools can store an event with no instructions this way; the game reads nothing there, and now the co-op event patcher accepts them too.

The launcher makes the co-op event files again by itself on the next seamless start.

Bloodborne for Windows 1.9.8: Seamless co-op, parties, faster online

Choose a tag to compare

@Supermedo Supermedo released this 06 Nov 22:17

Bloodborne PC 1.9.8

What's new since 1.9.7.

Seamless co-op (new)

Seamless co-op is BBSC: Yharnam Together by CLSAMG22 (https://github.com/CLSAMG22/BBSC), built on its GPL-2.0 source. Thank you, CLSAMG22!

  • Seamless co-op is here: BBSC 1.0.0 (Yharnam Together), on its own Seamless co-op page under Online play. It uses SuperMedo's seamless server and your SuperMedo account, and up to 5 hunters stay together through deaths, lamps and areas.
  • Runs on this port's own engine (bin\bb-probe-seamless.exe), started by this launcher with all your settings: picture, frame rate, controls, mods and patches. The normal game, its engine and normal online play are unchanged.
  • All of BBSC's co-op screens are in the game:
    • the team screen at the title: invites, quick match, Begin the hunt or Alone (F2 opens it in the game)
    • the party HUD and the compass
    • team pings (T) and the map (M)
    • trades, duels and travelling together
  • On a controller: hold View/Back (the touchpad on PlayStation) for the map, tap it twice for a ping. The map and the team are also in the game menu, under System.
  • Character pictures: each teammate's picture shows in the party list, on the compass and on the map, and updates when they change outfit.
  • The host's world: the team plays the host's world. Its progress stays in the host's save, and guests get their own world back when they play alone.
  • Joining: a player who joins is placed next to the host. A new character joining late gets the starter weapons.
  • Death: a dead hunter watching a teammate stays with them, even far from where they fell. A guest who dies during the host's boss fight watches the fight.
  • Host rules on the Seamless co-op page:
    • enemy difficulty, plus a Custom choice with your own health, damage and poise multipliers (1 to 10)
    • a Revival switch: when it's off, a fallen hunter dies for real instead of going down
    • boss tempo, Rot and travelling together
  • Separate saves: seamless co-op keeps its own save folder (seamless\user). A new game is recommended. Main-game saves can be copied there by hand, at your own risk. Seamless characters are never mixed with your normal saves, and a character played in seamless gets its bells back in the normal game.
  • Mods: a mod's map event files never replace the co-op ones; the mod's other files still load.

Parties and online

  • Parties: make a party code on the Online page and send it to your friends. While you're in a party, your summon signs and Beckoning Bell find only your party's hunters, with no level limit. A box beside the code shows who's in your party, their level, and who's online.
  • Sign in to SuperMedo Server with your Online ID and password, or make a new account, not only with Discord.
  • Cheat and debug patches are left out of online games. With one on, Play asks whether to go online without it, or to start this once offline with it.
  • Connections:
    • The game gets back online by itself within a minute after a dropped connection.
    • A player who rejoins is no longer kicked by the host.
    • Players behind a shared provider address (who needed a VPN) now join through the server's relay.
  • Faster online: connections to the servers are kept open and reused, which ends the short freeze about once a minute for players far from the servers. Looking up another player by name works on SuperMedo's servers.

Performance and fixes

  • Faster locks inside the engine give a few more frames per second.
  • Three rare freezes are fixed: while loading areas, while adding new shaders, and between two engine locks.
  • Low latency defaults to Auto: NVIDIA Reflex and Boost on NVIDIA cards, off on others.
  • BB_GPU_CHECKPOINTS=1 records where the GPU was when it stopped, for code 23 crash reports.

Trophies, saves and patches

  • A pop-up shows each trophy as you earn it, with its own picture and a short chime (BB_TROPHY_SOUND=0 / BB_TROPHY_POPUPS=0 turn them off).
  • Characters deleted in the game no longer show in the launcher.
  • Automatic backups you named are kept, and a backup added from a file no longer stops the next one.
  • The game files check's list of 1.09 files is fixed, and every open game file keeps its own read position.
  • Every patch in the list now comes from the public community list or was written for this port. The live-map patch is replaced by this port's own "Faster play log" patch.

Credits

  • Seamless co-op: BBSC: Yharnam Together by CLSAMG22, https://github.com/CLSAMG22/BBSC (GPL-2.0). Its source is on its release page.
  • The source of this port's seamless engine (bin\bb-probe-seamless.exe) is attached to this release.

Bloodborne for Windows 1.9.7: safe updates, online after the restart, SuperMedo Server only

Choose a tag to compare

@nick24051998 nick24051998 released this 30 Oct 20:43

An update to 1.9.6: launcher updates that can no longer break an installation, online that survives the in-game restart, checks before you play, and SuperMedo Server as the only server.

Installing: the launcher offers this update by itself. Or unpack it over 1.9.6 (or into a new, empty folder). Your settings, saves and mods stay.

Launcher doesn't start since the last update? If it shows "Failed to start embedded python interpreter: Failed to import encodings module", the update to 1.9.6 stopped halfway and can't repair itself: download Bloodborne-Windows.zip below and unpack it over your bbport-windows folder, replacing all files. Your saves and settings stay, and updates work again after that.

Important: online servers

SuperMedo Server is the port's only server. If you played on another one, the launcher moves you to SuperMedo Server by itself: sign in there once, with Discord or a free account, on the Online page.

Updates

  • Updates can no longer break an installation. The download is checked first, copied next to the installation and put in place in one step. If Windows or an antivirus holds a file, everything is undone and the installed version keeps working. An update stopped halfway (a power cut, Task Manager) is finished or undone at the next start. Before, files of two versions could mix, and the launcher no longer started.
  • An installation that an earlier update left half done is repaired by this update, as long as its launcher still starts.

Online

  • Restart Game (PC Settings) keeps you online. The game came back signed out, because the new start took over the old start's connection to the server.
  • Starting from the desktop shortcut or Steam without an online account plays offline instead of failing. Play in the launcher asks you to sign in.

Graphics

  • No sharpening on top of FSR 4. FSR 4 sharpens by itself, and sharpening on top of it left flaws along edges with FSR 4.1.2.
  • A new graphics card gets its own upscaler (DLSS on a GeForce RTX), also with automatic settings off.
  • The frame rate you chose stays, also after the game saves its settings and after the in-game restart.

Checks before you play

  • The launcher now tells you before the game starts when Windows has a graphics card that Vulkan doesn't see, when the game folder is in OneDrive, when an old driver keeps the game off your graphics card, when the Visual C++ runtime that AMD's FSR 4 and frame generation need is missing, and when a Windows firewall rule blocks the game.
  • A changed eboot.bin (patched by another tool) is swapped for a clean copy found on your PC, and Help → Check the game files compares every game file with version 1.09.

Saves and settings

  • Saves and settings are written in one piece: a crash or a full disk can no longer leave half a file.
  • Achievements from another installation can be brought over.

Launcher

  • Help & Support on forum.bbport.de replaces the Discord's #help: Help and the BB Report Tool point there. The Discord invite works again.
  • Search finds more of what players ask for, also in German and with the sign-in spellings.
  • The side bar fits small windows, and Help has the upkeep buttons.
  • The launcher no longer goes quiet when something in the background fails, and its log can no longer hold up the game.
  • Help no longer calls a full-size eboot.bin "cut off" when it just can't be read.
  • BB Report Tool 1.7.9: hints for playing online without an account and for server drops.

Known issues

  • Error code 21 ("STOP: reserving the PS4 address range … error 487") can still happen on PCs where another program puts memory into every program at its start, for example some anti-cheat or security drivers. Send a report if you hit it.

1.9.7 by Nick, on top of Medo's and Ethan's 1.9.6. Thanks to everyone who sent reports in the forum and on Discord.

Bloodborne for Windows 1.9.6: online connection fix

Choose a tag to compare

@Supermedo Supermedo released this 29 Oct 13:19

A small update to 1.9.5 that fixes online play failing to connect on some PCs.

Installing: the launcher offers this update by itself. Or unpack it over 1.9.5 (or into a new, empty folder). Your settings and saves stay, and your shader cache is kept: no rebuild this time.

Fixed

  • "Failed to connect to Bloodborne server. Returning to title menu." at Play Online on some PCs. The log showed certificate is not trusted by Windows either (error 0x1) or SSL server verification failed, and trying again usually worked. The port now carries Let's Encrypt's root certificates (ISRG Root X1, X2, YE and YR) itself, so it trusts SuperMedo Server even on PCs where Windows hasn't downloaded them yet. And when its own check still fails, Windows' check now gets the server's whole certificate chain instead of only its first certificate, which could lead Windows to an expired certificate (that was the 0x1).

Bloodborne for Windows 1.9.5: our own online servers, steady at any frame rate, fewer crashes

Choose a tag to compare

@emurphy04 emurphy04 released this 28 Oct 22:45

Our own online servers, PC Settings in the game's menu, cloth, plants and jumps that behave at any frame rate, the most common random crash fixed, Ebrietas without frame drops, low-latency options, and much more since 1.9.4.

Installing: unpack it into a new, empty folder, or over 1.9.4 or a 1.9.5 beta. Your first start rebuilds the shader cache once, so it takes a little longer and may stutter for the first minutes.

Important: online servers

The port now plays on its own servers. SuperMedo Server is the default and recommended. Other servers can no longer be chosen: if you used one, you now play on SuperMedo Server. Sign in, or make a free account, on the Online page. (Seamless co-op's own "open launcher + BBSC" start keeps its server.)

Crashes and start problems

  • Ebrietas' arena no longer loses its map and textures until a restart when the game leaves a resource table empty for a moment.
  • Fixed the most common random crash (ucrtbase.dll, often after about an hour, often in busy fights, and likely the crash when hitting enemies). Two causes, both fixed:
    • the game's per-frame render heaps were too small for a busy frame; they are now 1 MiB instead of 256 KiB;
    • occlusion results were written out of the game's order and slowly filled a heap until it crashed after about 28 minutes.
  • "STOP: reserving the PS4 address range … error 487" (error code 21) no longer stops the game. When another program already sits where the game needs its memory, the game restarts itself with that memory reserved first, and the log names what was in the way.
  • Fixed a crash after travelling with a lamp, and a crash right after Continue.
  • After the graphics driver resets ("device lost"), the game now closes with the driver's error report instead of freezing on its last frame with the sound still playing.
  • Fixed a crash in online play when a server was slow to answer: the game no longer crashes on an online event that arrives without its data.
  • The game always starts with Quit to Desktop and Rebirth on. On some PCs with the game on another drive, preparing their menu texts never finished and the game never launched. After a minute, the game now starts without them and the log says so.
  • A mod that reads the game's memory from the start (BBSC's bbsc.dll) no longer crashes it while the game is being loaded.
  • A rare stop on 4 GB cards under memory pressure ("Unknown data_format=14 and num_format=1") no longer ends the game.
  • Mods no longer fill your drive. With the game and the port on different drives, every mod file was copied again at every start (one player's out folder reached 400 GB). Mod files are now copied once and reused.

Frame rate and gameplay

  • Capes and coats hang like on the PS4 at any frame rate, and no longer spaz out when the frame rate stutters. On by default: Gameplay → "Cloth as on PS4 at higher frame rates".
  • Plants no longer jolt or sway too fast at higher or uneven frame rates (the Hunter's Dream's flowers, Hemwick's lavender). Always on.
  • Jumps go as far at any frame rate as on the PS4. At 120 FPS some gaps couldn't be cleared.
  • Ebrietas' fight without the big frame drops: above 60 FPS (Uncap FPS++ and 90 FPS++) effects step in whole 1/60 s, so particles no longer pile up.

Performance and latency

  • Faster starts: saved shaders are built on all CPU cores, and the graphics driver keeps its own compiled shaders between starts.
  • New options under All graphics → Frame rate, all off by default:
    • Low latency: NVIDIA Reflex on GeForce, AMD Anti-Lag 2 on Radeon; "On + Boost" keeps the GPU clocks up.
    • Variable refresh rate (VRR) for G-Sync and FreeSync displays.
    • Send frames to the GPU in parts: about 2 ms less lag on NVIDIA; not offered on AMD Radeon, where it is slower.
    • New shaders while playing, in the background: a new area doesn't stutter while its shaders compile.
  • Fresher input: the controller is read as the game asks for it, keyboard and mouse every millisecond.

PC Settings in the game's menu

  • The game's own System menu has PC Graphics, PC Effects and PC Options pages, built like the game's settings pages, so the port's settings can be changed with the controller without the overlay.

Picture and upscaling

  • FSR 4.1.2 and ML frame generation 4.0.2 (experimental, AMD). The Upscaler has one "FSR 4.1 (experimental)" entry with four methods: FSR 4.1.2 through your installed AMD driver (Vulkan or DX12), and FSR 4.1.1 (DX12 or fsr4vk) as before. A method is only offered when a real check on your card and driver passes; new settings pick the first one that works, otherwise FSR 3.1. Switch between them live in the in-game menu. ML frame generation 4.0.2 is a separate choice next to 4.0.1 (RX 9000, Windows 11). Guide: docs/FSR41_WINDOWS.md.
  • Sharp UI: menus, HUD and text are drawn at the output resolution, sharper above 1080p.
  • No more dark pictures or striped shadows from an old shader cache. The cache now remembers which build wrote it; one from another build is rebuilt instead of loaded, and outdated entries are no longer used.
  • Picture cut off or wrong resolution fixed. When the launcher's patches folder pointed to another installation, that copy of the port's own patch file was applied on top (including the ultrawide template on 16:9 screens). Copies of the port's own file are now ignored, and other patches can't override your Output resolution.
  • A game started without the launcher's window (Steam, shortcuts, BBSC's own scripts) now opens at your chosen resolution instead of a shrunk, blocky 1920×1080.
  • The HUD no longer disappears with AMDNR's DLSS→FSR bridge on AMD cards.
  • 8 GB graphics cards: the texture cache no longer throws away textures it still needs.
  • Less likely to run out of video memory: game memory the graphics card hasn't used for a while is released when VRAM runs short, and a failed memory bind now stops with a message instead of hanging.
  • Fixed flickering or missing pixels along the screen edges with the upscalers' subpixel jitter.
  • A warning before video memory runs out, so you can save first, and more in the FPS counter: video memory in use, frame time, GPU, CPU and RAM, and a frame-time graph, each with its own switch in the in-game menu.
  • HDR on in Windows: blacks are no longer lifted. The game is SDR; Windows showed it with the wrong curve near black.
  • Exclusive fullscreen (Display → Screen): the game takes the display over instead of covering the desktop, which can even out frame pacing. Off by default.
  • FSR 4's last passes are faster, most on AMD RX 6000 cards (where they were very slow), with the same picture.
  • The readbacks "Off" setting, which could make your hunter's face "explode", is gone; Off becomes Relaxed.
  • Object motion vectors show as unavailable, with the reason, on RX 6000 and older Radeons and on cards under 6 GB, where the game runs without them.
  • The low-VRAM profile now also covers 6 GB cards on Auto, and the "Video memory is running low" banner can be switched off (Advanced → "Warn when video memory runs low").
  • Choose what the FPS counter shows: All graphics → FPS counter has one box per line (FPS, frame time, render latency, video memory, GPU, CPU, RAM, frame-time graph), as the in-game menu does, and Value colours picks colour-coded or plain grey.

Rebirth at the Doll

  • No more T-pose after Rebirth. Strength, Skill, Bloodtinge and Arcane stay at what your equipped weapons need.
  • Your levels are free to regain again. In the betas, the level-up screen right after a Rebirth could charge full price for every level (and keep the lower level if you left). Levels up to the one you had now cost 0 Blood Echoes again, right away or later through Channel Blood Echoes.
  • Changed your mind? Leave the level-up screen without regaining a level and the Rebirth is undone: your Insight, level and attributes come back.
  • The level your character can regain for free is now saved safely, even with an antivirus or cloud sync holding the file; if it can't be saved, the Rebirth doesn't happen.
  • The Rebirth option and its messages are in every game language.

Controls

  • Jumps go as far at any frame rate as on the PS4. The game slows you in the air a fixed amount every frame, tuned for 30 FPS, so jumps got shorter the higher the frame rate: off the same ledge, 4.5 m at 60 FPS and 3.1 m at 120, and some gaps couldn't be cleared. The slowdown is now per second, as at 30 FPS, at any frame rate.
  • The controller camera no longer speeds up or skips with Steam open (or reWASD, JoyToKey): the mouse movement those programs make from your controller is ignored. The launcher also explains how to turn Steam's Desktop Layout off, since its key presses can't be filtered.
  • The in-game settings menu's key and controller combination can be changed or turned off (Controls → "In-game menu key" and "In-game menu on the controller"), so Insert can be bound to the game.
  • Trigger dead zones from input.ini now work.
  • The mouse cursor hides while you play with a controller.
  • The mouse wheel click and the side buttons can be bound on the Controls page, and a × clears a slot.

Sound

  • Less crackling on busy CPUs: the sound keeps a longer lead over Windows' audio device, and the game's mixer runs first.

Online

  • SuperMedo Server, our own online servers, is the default. Sign in with Discord or make a free account on the Online page; messages, bloodstains and co-op all run there. When routers block a direct connection, co-op goes through the SuperMedo relay; players behind the same internet connection connect over their LAN; and a connection that fails gives up instead of hanging.
  • SuperMedo Server: shadPS4's public shadNet server doesn't accept this port, and own servers are no longer offered.
  • Sign-in and the connection test work past expired certific...

Bloodborne for Windows 1.9.4: online connection fix and better settings for laptops

Choose a tag to compare

@emurphy04 emurphy04 released this 21 Oct 20:57

A small update to 1.9.3 with an online fix and better settings for laptops. With work from Awaken (online) and Nick (launcher).

Updating: press Update in the launcher, or unpack the zip over your install. Your saves, settings and mods are kept.

On 1.9.3? Its launcher can't update itself (fixed in 1.9.4): download Bloodborne-Windows.zip below and unpack it over your install (your saves, settings and mods are kept). After that, new versions show up in the launcher again.

Online

  • "Failed to acquire Bloodborne server information" fixed for players whose antivirus scans HTTPS connections (Avast, AVG, Kaspersky and others), or whose Windows had not fetched a server's root certificate yet. If Windows trusts the server, the game does too; bad certificates are still refused. (Awaken)

Launcher

  • New versions are offered again: 1.9.3's launcher never showed "Version X is available", and "Check for updates" didn't work either.
  • Laptops get the right settings: the hardware check now knows laptop processors (H, HK, U and similar), which are slower than the desktop chips of the same name. When the processor sets the frame rate, the launcher says so and doesn't lower the picture for nothing. (Nick)
  • No more 30 FPS cap on fast PCs: a processor above the minimum with a strong graphics card could get a 30 FPS cap from the automatic settings. (Nick)
  • Game tests are off for now: the "Measure on this PC" tests come back later with a fixed benchmark character. System & tests is now Your PC: its rating and the system requirements. (Nick)
  • Benchmark for bug reports (Advanced): a fixed route in Cathedral Ward on its own save, with your settings, and one zip to send. It now really walks and turns the camera; in 1.9.3 it measured the hunter standing still.

Bloodborne for Windows 1.9.3: new launcher, stretched polygons and VRAM fixed

Choose a tag to compare

@emurphy04 emurphy04 released this 21 Oct 18:46

With work from ethan, Rattensuppe (FSR 4.1.1 and ML frame generation) and Nick (the new launcher). Low-VRAM profile by fixdag and bashiku.

Updating: press Update in the launcher, or unpack the zip over your install. Your saves, settings and mods are kept. The new launcher backs up your saves automatically before every start.

Performance and VRAM

  • GPU layer back to 1.8.2's. The 1.9 graphics update is reverted, which fixes:

    • stretched polygons and "exploding" models;
    • texture stalls on 6–8 GB cards;
    • black screens entering the Hunter's Dream.

    The frame generation memory leak fix and the out-of-VRAM retry are kept.

  • Less VRAM used:

    • the 512 MB reserve only applies on NVIDIA;
    • idle staging memory is freed (about 240 MB);
    • copy buffers are sized to the image;
    • object motion is off below 6 GB.
  • Low-VRAM profile for 4 GB cards (Advanced → Low-VRAM profile: Auto / On / Off). It turns on by itself on cards with 4.5 GB or less: a bigger texture budget, a smaller scene at 1080p with an upscaler, and fewer helper threads on 4-core CPUs.

  • Integrated GPUs: textures go in shared memory.

  • Audio crackling on 6-core CPUs fixed (higher audio thread priority).

  • Direct mouse camera: no more FPS drops while moving the mouse on some PCs.

  • Shader cache: a cache made by another version of the port is no longer loaded by mistake, which could crash the game. Your first start after updating rebuilds the cache, so expect a little stutter at first.

New graphics options (Rattensuppe)

  • FSR 4.1.1 (experimental), two ways:
    • Vulkan (fsr4vk, included);
    • AMD DX12 (AMD cards).
  • AMD ML frame generation 4.0.1 (experimental): RX 9000, Windows 11, 2× SDR. Only offered on supported PCs.
  • Motion-vector cache (experimental): may improve FSR performance, uses some extra VRAM.

Gameplay

  • Rebirth at the Doll: for 5 Insight, go back to your origin's stats and level, then buy your old levels back without Blood Echoes. Optional, on by default.
  • Language is back in the title screen's System menu.
  • Modified eboot.bin (e.g. a 60 FPS patch already applied): the patches that still fit are applied, so ultrawide keeps working.
  • Live resolution Auto keeps working above 1080p with depth of field on.
  • The game still starts if the debug menu's fonts are missing.

Controls

  • Controller rebinding: click a slot, press a button.
  • Button prompts follow your rebinding on PlayStation, Xbox and Switch layouts, including PlayStation symbols the game has no picture of.
  • Lock-on target switching with the mouse, Dark Souls III style.

New launcher (Nick)
