v1.8: Ender I/O
New Items
- added ender endpoint (x1)
- ender endpoints serve as non-player mail source and destinations
- an ender endpoint renamed to a unique ID can be placed on a dispenser to create a valid endpoint
- to send mail to an endpoint, the envelope should be addressed to the ID prefixed with $ (e.g.
$myEndpoint) - characters
\and"are forbidden from use in IDs - when an endpoint receives mail, it throttles for 6 ticks, blocking any incoming mail within that period
- placing a copper grate over an endpoint closes it, making it unreachable by other nodes within the mail system
- when a player interacts with an unsent endpoint-originating envelope, the envelope will be unsealed rather than sent
- added vegetable greens
- obtained by harvesting a crop before maximum ripeness
- potato greens (x64)
- effective as compost
- inflicts nausea and poison when eaten
- is not used in any recipes
- leafy greens (x64)
- beet greens, carrot greens
- edible, eaten twice as fast as most foods
- used to make salads
- added salads
- garden salad (x16)
- berry salad (x16)
Block Interaction Changes
-
dispensers are now integrated into the mail system:
- a dispenser containing an unsent envelope sends that envelope
- if the envelope originates from an endpoint and the destiantion is unreachable, the envelope drops as an item
- a dispenser containing a received envelope opens the envelope
- the payload drops as an item, and the empty envelope appears in the dispenser
- dispensers with attached ender endpoints containing an addressed empty envelope can seal that envelope:
- in order to do this, the dispenser must face a shelf containing the payload
- if the shelf contains no valid payload items, the envelope seals empty
- the resulting envelope is considered to be endpoint-originating
- a dispenser containing an unsent envelope sends that envelope
-
dispensers can now interact with decorated pots:
- a dispenser containing a decorated pot can now place it on the block directly in front of it
- if this fails, the pot drops as an item
- a dispenser containing a brush can now brush-break a pot in front of it
- the resulting pot will drop as a filled pot item
- a dispenser containing a decorated pot can now place it on the block directly in front of it
-
pistons will now drop the correct number of items when breaking a decorated pot
-
fixed creaking essence applied to spawner creating a creaking spawner
-
fixed interacting with a spawner using a custom block resulting in a spawner of that block
- now interacting with a spawner using a custom block clears the spawner and drops the block item
UNFIXABLE:
- if a hopper absorbs the interaction item of a dispenser or the payload of a broken decorated pot in the same tick as it appears, Heartrobber will be unable to inject custom behaviour.
- if a hopper absorbs an itemstack dropped by a broken decorated pot that is filled to > 1 stack, the extra items will disappear due to the itemstack being invalid within a container.
FEEDING THE OUTPUT OF A POT BROKEN BY A PISTON TO A HOPPER LEADS TO PARTIAL LOSS OF ITEMS!
Item interaction changes
- retrieval rod can now only unseal the player's own unsent envelopes
Advancements
-
A Balanced Diet now has 52 entries (+5 since v1.7):
- potato greens
- carrot greens
- beet greens
- berry salad
- garden salad
-
added 5 advancements to the Metallurgy tab relating to ender endpoints
-
added 2 advancements to the Husbandry tab relating to vegetable greens
Recipes
- correction fluid is now brewed with honey or molasses instead of water
- changed advancement locale to reflect this
- reverted 26.3 stew recipe changes to require EITHER red mushroom + brown mushroom OR 2 shelf mushrooms
- beetroot soup can now alternatively be crafted with 2 leafy greens replacing 2 beetroot
- resin clumps can now be used as an adhesive in recipes in place of slime balls, honey or molasses
- resin clumps can now be crafted into slime balls with lime dye
- fixed rabbit stew crafted with shelf mushroom having incorrect nutritional value
- fixed molasses being able to crystallize into crystallized honey
Loot Changes
- decreased drop chance for pumpkin seeds from seed-producing vegetation
- made
heartrobber:seed_producinguse its own random sequence - cleaned up some loot tables
Refactors
- refactored mail system logic
- refactored compatibility function logic
Compatibility
- switched to a scoreboard-based, state-aware versioning system
- this means the game remembers which version of heartrobber a world had last
- this allows heartrobber to accurately apply schema changes
Miscellaneous Changes
- removed redundant item models for chunk loader and end relay
