What's new in v0.11.2
Transcription
- Hover a transcript line to see which model made it, whether it ran on the GPU or CPU, how long it took and the speed compared to real time.
- Model loading is more reliable: switching models no longer reloads needlessly, and it fixes a crash on some Windows PCs with integrated graphics. Messages that arrive while a model is loading are transcribed afterwards instead of skipped.
Updates
- The host checks for a newer version at startup (Settings: switch off if you prefer). "Check for Updates" shows the release notes and a download link.

What's new in v0.11.1
Mac only. The Windows apps are not updated in this release: the latest Windows installers are in v0.11.0.
Ping
- The Ping button blinks red and says "Pinging..." until the person has acknowledged, and you cannot ping them again meanwhile.
- New setting (Settings > Web): "Allow clients to ping". Turn it off and web, desktop-client and iPhone users can no longer ping; pings from the host still work.
- Every ping is noted in the transcript log ("Anna pinged Monitor").
Groups
- "All" is now a group like any other: it appears as a tab, and you choose per talkback (gear popover) whether it belongs to it. It is created automatically with your first group. Existing shows keep every talkback in it.
Transcription
- Web and iPhone now show a "Transcribing message..." row while the host is transcribing, like the desktop.
- Medium and Large Whisper models are marked "GPU recommended". On a PC or Mac without a fast GPU, Small, Base or the q5 models are much quicker.
Fixes
- Talkback blocks on web, iPhone and the client no longer show a bogus time like 0:00:00:00 before the first message.
- Settings: the "Models folder" label colour, and odd squares in a tooltip.

What's new in v0.11.0
Windows host (new)
- RepeatLast now runs on Windows 10/11 x64 (WASAPI audio, Whisper transcription with Vulkan GPU acceleration, falls back to the CPU).
- Transcription works on PCs without a GPU, and the app tells you when transcription is skipped and why.
- Installer with Start menu shortcut, so notifications work.
Desktop client for Mac and Windows (new)
- Native push-to-talk with a system-wide hotkey (Option+Space), open-mic mode (voice-activated), input device and channel picker, and a "Minimise feedback during PTT" option.
- Finds the host automatically on the local network (Bonjour) and shows show name and version.
- Runs from the menu bar / tray: closing the window keeps pings, notifications and the hotkey alive.
- The host serves the installers on your local network, and the client shows an update banner when a newer one is available.
- Client mic boost per talkback (0-40 dB) for quiet laptop microphones.
Groups, ping and privacy
- Groups: put talkbacks in groups, filter the talkback grid and the transcript by group. A web user only sees the groups they belong to.
- Ping: send an alert to a talkback; it keeps flashing until acknowledged.
- Privacy screen: hide the screen with one menu click.
Waveforms
- The last message is drawn as a waveform in each talkback block, with a live trace while someone is speaking and a playhead during playback. Also in the transcript log and the global Repeat Last box.
Transcription
- Keyword lists (with ready-made templates for concerts, broadcast, conferences and theatre) and context-aware re-transcribe.
- Large v3 model, silence detection and filters for typical Whisper hallucinations.
- Messages with no recognised speech are tagged "No speech detected".
Web interface
- Redesigned to match the iPhone app: show name in the header, group bar, ping, privacy screen, adjustable transcript text size, "Play audio in browser" option.
- More reliable server start, restart and port handling.
Fixes
- Push-to-talk no longer records only a fragment of the transmission.
- A talkback fed only by clients no longer gets stuck "active" after push-to-talk ends.
- Fixed a startup crash when Whisper was configured, and a crash caused by audio starting before the app finished loading.
- Fixed licence activation on a new machine, Whisper model downloads that hung, missing channels on SoundGrid and other pro devices, and the app showing version 0.4.0 in crash reports.
- Reloaded transcript timestamps were two hours off.
- Output routing and transcript panel visibility are now remembered.

RepeatLast v0.8.0 (build 213)
RepeatLast v0.8.0 (build 213)
macOS, Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 12 or later. Free 15-minute trial, no account required.
What's new in v0.8.0
- Licensing: machine-locked licences with online activation and deactivation, and a 30-day offline grace period. Keys look like
RLST-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. - Shop: buy a licence online (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Annual, Corporate 10, Corporate 50); the key arrives by email automatically.
- Licence dialog: shows plan, seats and expiry, with a Deactivate button and a link to the shop.
- Trial mode: 15-minute countdown; the app quits when it reaches zero.
Fixes
- Licence menu greyed out after activation; trial banner not coming back after deactivation; expired licence shown as active.
- Light mode is now the default, and the dark/light choice is saved in the show file.
- "Auto-load last show" was not remembered after a restart.
- Stray character in the Settings window title, and a non-native title bar on the licence dialog.
- The transcript log now warns when Whisper transcription is on but no model has been downloaded.
Earlier in the 0.7 series
- v0.7.2: Global Repeat Last button in the web interface; fixed the startup dialog not closing.
