it would be good not only sharing about deployment but about staging and stuff, links or references how things are done in regard to migrations etc. just a thought

Note that PagodaBox supports Symfony2 quite nicely, I'm going to write a guide for them when 2.1 hits.

+1 for this entry. It should be a cookbook entry, which covers all the requirements for deployment: copying files, clearing cache, etc.

Then we should also link to a bunch of other resources about ways to accomplish this in an automated way.

@breerly I would happily welcome an entry on deploying Symfony2 on PagodaBox :). We have to keep it not too commercial, but as long as you're explaining factually how to do this, then I think it would be a great entry.

I've just merged in the new deployment docs - see #1782 for the details! I think it's a great start, and hopefully it can grow from here.
