Tapilot 0.1.9 Beta — Optional background-screen tasks
What's new
- Run normal chat tasks on an optional background screen with a compact floating preview. The feature is experimental, off by default, and requires explicit shell authorization.
- Keep useful background-screen settings visible and fold compatibility trials into Advanced.
- Preserve the phone's display density so Calculator controls fit without clipped buttons.
- Take over a task before interacting manually, then explicitly continue with a fresh screen observation. Closing the preview, disabling the feature or losing the helper stops execution.
- Use Android's system proxy selection for phone-operation model requests, including local-address bypass rules, and preserve the proxy when refreshing ChatGPT credentials.
- Include current mainline improvements to onboarding, progress reporting and HTTP model endpoint support.
Install
Android 11 or later, ARM64. This is a signed, non-debuggable Beta using the existing Beta certificate; it is not an app-store release. A differently signed development APK cannot be upgraded in place.
Primary download: fixed Feishu APK file.
Fallback: versioned GitHub APK.
Background-screen compatibility depends on the device and app. Protected screens and screen-off operation are not guaranteed. On the tested OPPO, automatic Wireless debugging restoration is refused by the OS; manual restoration remains available. Setup never resumes an interrupted task automatically.
Verification and materials
Automated checks, distribution review and APK verification passed. The public APK upgraded a Redmi from 0.1.8 without clearing history. An isolated non-debuggable Beta on OPPO completed a fresh background Calculator task (41 × 7 = 287) with every button visible. Takeover and manual input worked; a subsequent resumed observation encountered intermittent model connection timeouts and correctly ended incomplete without repeating actions. Network-dependent task completion is not guaranteed. See the tagged release acceptance record for details.
SHA-256 checksums, material manifests, WASM sources and relink materials are attached. The unchanged native source archive is reused from 0.1.8 (SHA-256 7434aefa8ba511654e42cc8db0d0cb0d1e435cb9109aa0fe546522a30dbcd73d); its URL and hash are also recorded in the attached materials manifest. The native and rebuilt Sharp archives are unchanged byte-for-byte from the verified v0.1.8 baseline. Updated npm and Android notices are embedded in the APK and retained in the tagged source tree.
