Note on v8.2.2: briefly published, then found to be missing dense_evolution.protocols from the wheel (a packaging-list gap, not a code defect). This release (v8.2.3) fixes it and is verified to contain the full package. v8.2.2 was not yanked on PyPI; do not install it -- use v8.2.3 or later.
