- Keyboard: holding Escape a moment too long no longer closes the pause
menu it just opened (or pauses again right after resuming). In the
setup window, holding Enter or Escape no longer carries on to the next
screen's button (opening the file chooser, or quitting). - Flatpak: the FFmpeg source has a second download location, so a busy
ffmpeg.org no longer fails the build.
You need your own copy of the Xbox Live Arcade game: the first start asks for it and makes the data folder (see "Getting started" in the README).
- Windows: x64, code-signed. Unzip and run
geow2.exe. - macOS: universal (Apple silicon and Intel), macOS 11 or later, signed and notarized. Unzip and open
geow2.app. - Linux: x86-64, needs a Vulkan driver. Unpack and run
geow2. - Steam Deck and Linux, Flatpak: install from https://geow2.com/flatpak/ (updates come through Discover or
flatpak update). The.flatpakfile is the same app as a single file. The-flatpak-repoarchive is what geow2.com serves.
Verify a download: sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing, or gh attestation verify <file> -R techknight/geow2.
