Settings Menu

About

FW: Current firmware (Software) version

Built: Week and year the unit was provisioned

S/N: Serial Number, starting from 1

Audio

  • Autoplay: Begin playback as soon as the bluetooth device connects. Default: Off

  • Volume: Set the gain of the BlueBus analog audio. Please note that the higher you go, the more "clipping/distortion" you may experience. Please also note that this does not apply to users making use of the digital audio output on the BlueBus. Default: -10dB

  • DSP: If your vehicle is equipped with the DSP Amplifier, select weather to use the digital or analog input (coaxial or six-pin connector). Default: Default (Whatever your radio is coded to do)

  • Vol. Mgmt. (Automatic Volume Management): Automatically set the phones volume to the recommended level of maximum. Default: Off

  • Vol. Rev (Volume in Reverse Management): Automatically Lower the Volume in Reverse Gear. Default: Off

Comfort

  • Locks: Lock the doors at 10km/h, 20km/h or do not lock them at all. Default: Off

  • Unlock: Unlock the doors when the engine is shut off (Pos 1), or when the key is to be removed (pos 0). Default: Off

  • Blinkers: Set how many blinks you would like when using one-touch blinkers. Default: 1

  • Park Lts. (Parking Lights): Enable the parking lights (Angel Eyes on the E39, side markers on all other vehicles). Does not work on the E46, E83, E85 or E86. NOTE: This feature may impair your ability to alter the in-vehicle dimmer while it's active.

Calling

  • Handsfree: Enable / Disable Calling. Note that this will also disable the connectivity LEDs. Default: On

  • Mic Gain: The gain of the microphone audio. The lower the number, the less sensitive the microphone will be. Default: -23dB

  • Vol. Offset: This setting defines how much louder the call audio should be when a call comes in. This is NOT compatible with "Call Mode: TCU". The best way to set this setting is to place a call, then count the number of pushes to the Volume Up button on the Steering wheel to attain the most comfortable volume for the call. That value should be used as the offset.

  • Mode: Toggle the use of "TCU" mode, where call audio is piped to the amplifier or radio over the Telephone audio wires, or if it should only use that mode when it cannot use the regular audio path. NOTE: Not available for HW 1.x users because it isn't necessary to toggle it.

UI

  • Menu: Which menus should be defaulted to, the main menu or dashboard.

  • Metadata: Display the metadata in the main area, where "Bluetooth" is displayed. Chunked: Scroll in the same manner as FM radio data, Party: Scroll letter by letter, Off: Display "Bluetooth" at all times.

  • Temps: Display the temperatures in the headers. Possible options are Coolant, Ambient and Oil (Does not work on the E39 M5, E46, E52, E83, E85 or E86). Default: Off

  • Dash OBC: Display Temperatures in the Dashboard. Default: Off

  • BMBT Off: Select weather or not to have the Monitor shut off automatically after the vehicle reaches 5km/h.

  • Lang: The UI language. Default: English (EN)

Notes:

  • If you keep getting thrown back to the main navigation menu when using BlueBus after 8 seconds, please ensure you're using the Display button (Display Button) to enable the BlueBus menu.

  • BlueBus will automatically pause the music source when the radio is turned off

  • When turning on pairing mode, any existing Bluetooth connection is terminated

  • Avoid using the "INFO" button while in BlueBus mode. This overwrites the menu with CD Changer options which are not relevant to BlueBus.
