BioShock Quest VR
BioShock Quest VR — portable installer.
- One offline Windows installer with an English terminal interface.
- Runtime, temporary files, prepared game and backups stay in BioShockVR-Data beside the EXE. Existing USB authorization keys keep their standard Windows location. Keep the EXE in a writable folder and keep that data folder with it when moving the installer. Allow about 10 GB on PC and 14 GB on the headset.
- Includes the accepted white weapon and cyan plasmid reticles, VR menus and wrist HUD.
- Requires your own original BioShock 2007 v1.1 installation; Remastered is incompatible.
- Connect Quest over USB, allow USB debugging, then run BioShockVR-Setup.exe and select your headset.
Targets Quest 3 / 3S; development testing used Quest 2. Quest 3/3S hardware testing and steady 72 FPS are not confirmed. A Pico 4 Ultra version is in development; no Pico download is available yet.
Bug reports: baalkirill5@gmail.com.
Installer verification
- Fixed Quest USB discovery when another compatible ADB server is already running.
- Added first-start storage permission setup and safer cancellation/rollback.
- 31 automated tests and the exact EXE bundled-component check passed. The exact published EXE also completed a clean Quest 2 installation using only its bundled ADB, including storage permissions and automatic first-start environment setup.
- Updated installer sources are included in the release source ZIP. No new commits were created.
