What's New

• Smooth scrolling now works inside full-screen programs, not just in scrollback. When a program scrolls part of its screen by rows, the text slides to its new place and the rows leaving the screen slide out with it, instead of the whole view jumping. You will see it paging in Neovim and Vim, in Claude Code as the transcript grows, in less and everything that pages through it (man, git log, git diff), and in tmux panes. It follows the existing Settings → Animations → Smooth scrolling toggle. (#422)

Fixes

• Local Network and other privacy permissions granted to programs running in a pane now stay granted across quitting, relaunching and updating Macterm. (#420, closes #419)
• Those permission prompts now say "Macterm" and explain why, instead of naming the session daemon with Apple's generic text. Full Disk Access for pane programs follows the app's own grant. (#421)

Notes

• Programs that redraw their whole screen rather than scrolling it look exactly as before. Scrolling with the trackpad in scrollback is unchanged.
• The docs now lead with Get started and link the Releases page from the install instructions. (#417, #418)
