What's New in v3.2.2

Run history shows card upgrades again: 3.2.0 and 3.2.1 read the level the
game leaves out on unupgraded cards as unknown and dropped the levels of the
whole deck, which hid upgrades on nearly every real run. Also two strategy
guide corrections and dependency updates. Beta status is retained.

Fixed

  • Run history shows card upgrades again. The game records an upgrade level
only on upgraded copies and leaves it out on the rest, but run history read
a missing level as unknown and then discarded the levels of the whole deck.
On real save files that hid the upgrades of nearly every run, and run pages
said the levels were not recorded. A missing level now reads as not
upgraded; a present but malformed one still marks the levels unavailable.

Content

  • Strategy guide: Sow is no longer listed as a Soul Engine key card (it deals
damage and has no Soul effect), and Accelerant is described as the key card
rather than the key rare, since its rarity differs between the main-game
profile (Rare) and the bundled card data (Uncommon).

Dependencies

  • Shipped in the executables: starlette 1.7.0, python-dotenv 1.2.4,
    markupsafe 3.0.4, uvloop 0.23.0 and idna 3.20.
  • Development and CI: ruff 0.16.10, mypy 2.4.0 with ast-serialize 0.12.1,
    librt 0.16.0, pygments 2.21.0, playwright 1.63.0 and pytest-playwright
    0.10.0 with python-slugify 9.1.3.

Internal

  • Dependabot updates the dependency locks again. The CI tool list added
in 3.2.1 was a pip-compile .in file, which made Dependabot treat
requirements-lock.txt as pip-compile output it could not regenerate: it
stopped updating that lock and opened partial updates that failed the
lock-agreement tests. Moving the file into ci/ was not enough, because
Dependabot followed the CI lock's annotations to it, so there is now no .in
file at all; the CI lock names its tools and documents the recompile. The
five pending updates are applied together: python-dotenv 1.2.4, markupsafe 3.0.4, pygments 2.21.0,
uvloop 0.23.0 and idna 3.20 in every lock that carries them, and pytest-playwright 0.10.0 with
python-slugify 9.1.3 for the browser tests (0.7.2 and 0.9.0 both refuse
    python-slugify 9).

Download

Download Spirescope for Windows — extract the zip, open the Spirescope folder, double-click Spirescope.exe.

GitHub is the only official download source. Use the release assets here and the attached checksum file.

Windows may flag the download as a virus. Unsigned builds can trigger security warnings. A warning needs investigation; see docs/ANTIVIRUS.md for checksum and provenance verification, reporting a detection, and source installation.

The versioned and unversioned zips are identical; the unversioned names exist so the latest-download URL stays stable.
