HiMe v1.1.0 — Native in-app chat + personalised health plans

This release brings the conversation inside the iOS app. You can now talk to your health agent directly — no Telegram/Feishu/WeChat bot required — and let it design a personalised plan for you. IM gateways still work and are now optional.

Highlights

  • 💬 Native in-app chat — message Hime right in the app, with streaming replies, image sharing, and evidence-backed answers.
  • 🎯 Personalised health plan — a short onboarding goal survey, then the agent designs and schedules your recurring check-ins automatically.
  • 📊 Chart-rich reports — reports now embed charts inline and deep-link from chat.

💬 Native in-app chat

  • A new Chat tab — talk to the agent directly inside the iOS app. No bot binding, no third-party app.
  • Streaming replies over the existing agent WebSocket, with a live "thinking / querying your records" status.
  • Evidence-backed answers — tap Show evidence to see the exact data the agent used (the same fact-verification trail the IM gateways expose).
  • Bidirectional images — the agent sends charts inline; optionally send it a photo for a vision-capable model to read (off by default, see below).
  • Proactive push (APNs) — when the app is closed, scheduled reports and replies arrive as a notification; tap it to deep-link into the conversation. Marked time-sensitive so it surfaces on iPhone, not just a mirrored Watch banner.
  • Persisted history — your conversation is stored server-side (in your encrypted memory DB) and reloads across restarts and new devices. Send /clear to reset it.

🎯 Personalised health plan

  • A brief adaptive goal survey during onboarding (recorded only — no LLM at capture time).
  • After your first chat, the agent designs a plan and sets it up: it creates your scheduled check-ins, records the plan to memory, and publishes a warm plan report — all in your own language.
  • Redesign My Plan in Settings re-runs the survey and rebuilds the plan any time.
  • New default trigger rules: heart-rate spike, prolonged elevated heart rate, and low HRV.

📊 Richer reports

  • Charts referenced inline (![caption](/tmp/chart.png)) are embedded as self-contained images — reports render figure-and-text in the dashboard and the app.
  • Proactive reports now also appear as a chat bubble with a View full report deep-link.
  • Reports follow the language you write to the agent in.

🐛 Fixes

  • /api/data/dashboard no longer 500s on non-finite (NaN/Inf) sensor readings — they're skipped.
  • Agent event stream now fans out per-connection, so the app and the web dashboard no longer steal each other's events (fixes duplicate / missing chat replies).

⚙️ Upgrade notes

Pull, fill in any new .env keys, and restart — your .env, data/, and memory/ are preserved (the memory DB gains a chat_history table additively):

git pull
./hime.sh restart --rebuild # Docker
./hime.sh restart --clean # Native

New .env keys (all have safe defaults — nothing required for basic in-app chat):

Key Default Purpose
IOS_GATEWAY_ENABLED true Native in-app chat channel
IOS_VISION_ENABLED false Accept user→agent image uploads (needs a vision model)
IOS_MAX_IMAGE_BYTES 5242880 Max inbound image size
APNS_ENABLED false Proactive push to a closed app
APNS_KEY_PATH / APNS_KEY_ID / APNS_TEAM_ID / APNS_BUNDLE_ID / APNS_ENV empty / production APNs credentials
  • IM gateways are now optional. If you only use the in-app chat, you can leave TELEGRAM/FEISHU/WEIXIN_GATEWAY_ENABLED=false.
  • To enable proactive push: create an APNs Auth Key (.p8) in your Apple Developer account, enable the Push Notifications + Time-Sensitive Notifications capabilities on your App ID, set the APNS_* keys, and pip install aioapns. Without this, replies are simply delivered when the app next opens. (.p8 files are git-ignored.)
  • To enable inbound images: set IOS_VISION_ENABLED=true and run a vision-capable model (Anthropic / Gemini / OpenAI).

iOS app: build from source — the new screens are picked up automatically (no project-file changes needed). The aps-environment entitlement is set to development; switch to production for TestFlight/App Store builds.

Breaking changes: none. Existing IM setups keep working unchanged.
