unsound v0.9.0
A major meeting-notes update for unsound, with local AI research and persistent follow-ups.
What’s new
- Live meeting notes: capture your microphone and call audio, follow the live transcript, identify speakers, and generate notes with decisions, action items, and transcript citations.
- AI meeting research: ask about one meeting or your archive. Search transcripts and summaries, ask follow-up questions, and pull verified exact transcript quotes with links to the source passages. Choose a local language model in the research setup.
- Action follow-through: edit owners and deadlines, mark actions done or ignored, reopen them, and set or snooze reminders. Status and reminders survive restarts and note regeneration.
- Meeting assistant: draft tasks from the conversation for connected tools, then review and approve them before execution.
- Faster dictation flow: start another take while earlier takes finish processing; results arrive in spoken order.
Reliability and quality
- Durable transcription jobs and recovery after interrupted sessions or app restarts.
- Failure-oriented coverage for stalled inference, audio disconnects, storage failures, credential refresh, bounded queues, and overlapping session finalization.
- Source-checked notes, persistent speaker corrections, safer note saving, and working summary-source navigation.
- Updated build configuration for CMake 4 and consistent versions across release manifests and lockfiles.
Install and use
Download the Apple Silicon DMG below, open it, and drag unsound to Applications. The app is signed and notarized.
Meeting research needs a configured language model. Reminder notifications run while unsound is open, including in the menu bar; overdue reminders remain in the app and are picked up on the next launch.
