Seymour v1.3.0 makes the over-unity Cascade range immediate, predictable, and safe to explore.

The old response used raw gain per feedback tap. At 101% with a 20 ms feedback delay, it rose at only about 4.3 dB/s. Its limiter also sat outside the stored feedback path, so the internal loop could keep growing after the output was already pinned.

Changes:

  • Keeps the existing 0-100% Cascade response and all parameter indices intact.
  • Maps 101-150% to a delay-independent 60-600 dB/s build range.
  • Applies Soft, Tube, or Hard saturation inside the stored feedback loop at the Squash ceiling.
  • Adds a final output peak clamp and fixes the Hard saturation discontinuity.
  • Adds pure DSP and full algorithm regression tests, run by the release workflow.

Compatibility: GUID, specification, parameter order, and parameter ranges are unchanged. Presets using Cascade above 100% intentionally build faster and settle into bounded saturation.
