Sound Deck 2.1.0

New sounds. The deck now ships with nine sounds made for it, the same sounds you can play on quietpixel.dev/sounddeck.

Changed

• Nine new bundled sounds, as pads 1 to 9: Ba-dum-tss, Laser, Glass, Chime, Bike bell, Whistle, Gong, Sad trombone and Applause.
• The old bundled sounds are removed. If you update from 2.0.0, the old pads go away and the new sounds appear first. Sounds you added yourself stay, with their keys.
• A sound you remove stays removed.
• The download is smaller: the sounds take 1.7 MB instead of about 12 MB.
• Tools/MakeSounds.mjs rebuilds the sounds from their source.

Install

1. Download SoundDeck.dmg below. Open it and drag Sound Deck to Applications.
2. Open it once and close the warning (it is not notarized). Then open System Settings › Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

A full rebuild of the soundboard since the 2025 version.

New

• Sounds play at the same time, fade out when they stop, and can loop or play a trimmed section.
• Each pad has its own volume, a colour, an emoji and a keyboard key. Drag pads to reorder them.
• Global hotkeys: press Control-Option and a pad's key in any app. Space stops all sounds; Return replays the last one.
• Choose the output device, including virtual devices, to send the deck into Zoom, Meet, Discord or OBS.
• A waveform and playhead show what is playing.
• A compact deck opens from the menu bar.
• MIT license.
