0.1.0
The first public Windows x64 development release of Super Monkey Ball Deluxe — Static Recompilation.
Download smbd-0.1.0-windows-x64-setup.exe, run it, select your own US Xbox XISO image, and choose an installation folder. The installer verifies the image, prepares the files, and shows installation progress. It includes the compiled game and runtime libraries. Original game files are not included.
Highlights
- A themed installer with Start-menu and optional desktop shortcuts. Updates preserve saved games and preferences.
- Internal resolution, antialiasing, anisotropic filtering, and aspect ratio can change while playing.
- Keyboard and controller remapping with polished binding-list spacing and scrolling.
- Normal game launches open without a terminal window; file logging and command-line diagnostics remain available.
- Rendering synchronization improvements and CPU profiling support.
Before playing
- Windows x64 and a Direct3D 11-capable graphics card are required. Linux and macOS remain development targets.
- Press F1, Esc, or the controller Back button to open settings.
- Back up the installation folder's data/user directory, including storage.key. Preferences and control bindings are in data/local/settings.cfg.
- Keep your original ISO available if you choose not to copy it during installation.
This is a development release. Every stage and game mode has not been validated; bugs, slowdowns, and stops in untested paths remain possible. The sustained 360 FPS target is not yet met.
Installer validation covered installation, upgrades, cancellation, uninstall, Unicode paths, saved-data preservation, and previews at 100%, 150%, and 200% scaling. Native live-graphics diagnostics passed 424 checks. These checks do not establish complete game compatibility.
The assets include a SHA-256 checksum and release.json with build provenance. README and source build instructions.
