TinyStore 0.6.0
What's new, with code in every language: https://tinyshed.org/tinystore/docs/releases/v0.6.0
bun add @tinyshed/tinystore@0.6.0
npm install @tinyshed/tinystore@0.6.0
pip install tinyshed-tinystore==0.6.0Built for linux-x64, linux-arm64, linux-x64-musl, linux-arm64-musl, darwin-arm64, darwin-x64, win32-x64. Each archive holds the
tinystore executable in bin/, and in lib/ the core's library and the Node addon; the Go
SDK fetches its platform's at the first open. SHA256SUMS checks them all.
Changes since v0.5.1
Features
- config: let a text setting choose the group its settings are read as, chosenBy in bun, chosen_by in python, and declare a config as data in rust and go, Declaration::from_json and OpenConfigJSON, so a plugin's settings are checked, masked and named as it declares them
- records: open a stream through a database, db.events("audit"), whose appends in db.tx and db.batch wait in the database's file and reach the stream once the rows commit, never when they roll back, in rust, bun, python and go
- records: say which event names and fields a stream's events carry, each with how many events carry it and the kinds of value it holds, counted as segments pack and from what waits, in rust, bun, python and go
- metrics: replace a gauge's samples of a range in one write, packed or not, so a collector corrects yesterday's revenue, in rust, bun, python, go and the command line
- mcp: let a rust program serve its own mcp tools, each marked as reading, writing or removing and offered only as its --write names it, beside tinystore's read tools on its store, and run tinystore mcp on the same server
- config: add the config-load feature, config::load with no store, so a program that only reads its settings links no sqlite and builds without a c compiler
- config: declare a map of named entries whose fields are settings of their own, so a file gives an entry field by field and APP_INSTANCE_AIMEE_PASSWORD or its _FILE one field of one entry, in rust, bun, python and go
Fixes
- web: write a type a bound names as I::Item in the rust reference, not ::Item
- console: colour the command line by the rule every logger keeps, ask a windows console to read escapes, and let a program ask the rule, console::colors in rust, colors in bun and python, console.Colors in go
- config: print a secret that a map or a list holds inside as *** in explain, found by reading each value as the program's type, and refuse a live change that would keep one
- records: read a page on until it holds its limit of events that match or the range ends, so a list with where finds one user's last 50 events behind everyone else's rather than an empty page with a next
