What's new, with code in every language: https://tinyshed.org/tinystore/docs/releases/v0.7.0
bun add @tinyshed/tinystore@0.7.0
npm install @tinyshed/tinystore@0.7.0
pip install tinyshed-tinystore==0.7.0Built for linux-x64, linux-arm64, linux-x64-musl, linux-arm64-musl, darwin-arm64, darwin-x64, win32-x64. Each archive holds the
tinystore executable in bin/, and in lib/ the core's library and the Node addon; the Go
SDK fetches its platform's at the first open. SHA256SUMS checks them all.
Changes since v0.6.0
Changed names
- mcp: serve tools whose handlers await on the program's own runtime, tinystore::aio::mcp, with blocking tools and the store's read tools on threads beside them and a cancelled call's future dropped and its store reads stopped, as async stops turning on store so that mcp and async alone link no sqlite
- mcp: run each tool's call on a thread of its own so a ping or another call is answered meanwhile, cancel a call on notifications/cancelled through the token its handler now takes, Fn(&Value, &CancellationToken), stop its store reads and write it no answer, answer a handler's panic as the tool's error, say removes for a tool that removes, tell the agent which tools change anything and that the rest only read, and build CancellationToken with mcp alone
Features
- config: refuse a secret a file marked to hold none gives, .secrets(false) in rust, secrets: false in bun, secrets=False in python and NoSecrets() in go, naming the variable and its _FILE instead, and leave such a file out of a missing secret's hint
- config: declare a setting with no value, "default": null as data, optional(…) in bun, X | None in python and a pointer in go, null until a layer gives it, a secret still masked, and explain saying unset
Fixes
- config: read a rust Option left None as text, so that APP_ID=123456 is the text it says rather than a number its String refuses, as "kind": "text", "default": null reads it
- config: keep a secret's default in kv.db as none, so that tinystore config explain, set and reset and their completion read a config whose secret has a default
- config: keep a rust Option<Secret> left None a secret, read as text and never printed in an error, and refuse Secret<Option> naming it
