Cadence Desktop v0.40.0
Changed
- Default priority is now a switch to start new tasks at Low; higher defaults made every task look important.
Removed
- The confidence, Smart Capture and Smart sort settings are gone; Cadence uses the setting that worked best for everyone.
Fixed
- Cadence no longer learns a habit from one unusual week.
- Shortcuts like 'tmrw', 'fri' and 'nxt wk', and spoken times like 'five pm', are read as dates and times.
- Typing today's weekday ('tuesday' on a Tuesday) always means today, or next week if its time has passed.

Cadence Desktop v0.39.0
Added
- Cadence guesses a task's Effort from the ones you've chosen before; tap to keep it, and day load uses it meanwhile.
Changed
- Typing or saying 'asap', 'important' or 'no rush' sets priority; the assistant only sets priority from your words.
- The assistant matches tasks to your energy and asks one quick question only when it needs the answer.
- Capture suggests a list only when it's surer, and questions or "boss says it's urgent" no longer set priority.
