SimLOD 1.3.0 — Provider commands
SimLOD 1.3.0 — provider commands
Available on GitHub. Read the documentation website. Steam Workshop publication is deferred.
Mods can now change their existing SimLOD entities through an opt-in pure command planner. An accepted command commits the new payload, revision and receipt together; repeating the same key and arguments after a save returns the original receipt without repeating the effect. Typed refusals cover stale revisions, overdue work, missing providers, native locks and capacity. Provider failures quarantine the record without applying the command.
Commands preserve scheduled deadlines and RNG. Providers receive explicit effective time for deterministic partial-time accounting. The new command meter example and author guide show the contract. The native queue, retained Pawn identity, prepared settlement and abstract pause rules remain intact. Physical silver/cargo transactions remain the consuming mod's responsibility.
Archive 4 stores accepted command history and reads formats 1–3. Keep a pre-upgrade save for downgrades; actual 1.2 code preserves archive 4 as blocked. CLR identity remains 0.1.0.0, API major remains 1 and native journal stays at format 3. All 311 previous public metadata lines are preserved in the reviewed 386-line surface. New command consumers must require the 1.3 capability before loading command-dependent types.
Validation: 53 model groups, 545 focused native assertions, exact/historical API checks and negative controls, 117 English keys, seven verified ZIPs with 39 files, an independently extracted source starter build, actual historical saves and the original 0.6 consumer DLL. A copied Frontier checkout separately passed native continuity and command-lock checks against the final public DLL. These are scripted checks on the pinned RimWorld 1.6 build, not full Frontier gameplay acceptance or a performance claim.
The framework package now includes a Workshop preview. Listing text and publication instructions are prepared. Ship only the extracted framework package as the Workshop content root.
See acceptance, provider commands, Frontier handoff, Workshop preparation, and the source/package audit. All packages are MIT licensed and exclude game assemblies and test fixtures.
SimLOD 1.2.0 — Abstract pause and resume
SimLOD 1.2.0 — Abstract pause and resume
Completed Survey records previously stayed scheduled after their twelve reports. Survey Relay now pauses completed history automatically and offers Pause survey / Resume survey and catch up for unfinished work. Records retain identity, payload, RNG and deadlines. Resuming processes missed fixed intervals on later normal ticks under the existing quota.
Framework authors gain revision-checked Pause/Resume, durable EntitySnapshot.IsPaused and appended EntityStatus.Paused. Eligible records must use an abstract provider and have no native member/operation history. Pawn recovery rules remain separate. Provider removal, quarantine and retry preserve pause intent.
Compatibility: abstract archive 3 reads older formats with unpaused defaults. Install matching 1.2 framework and Survey Relay packages. Keep a pre-upgrade save if you need older framework versions; they preserve archive 3 as blocked. CLR identity, provider API major and native journal 3 are unchanged, and all 306 previous API metadata lines remain intact. The starter still compiles against published 1.0/1.1 DLLs.
Validation: 44 model groups, 466 native assertions across 16 isolated runs, 117 English keys, exact 311-line API plus historical/negative checks. Includes genuine archived saves, original 0.6 consumer binary, Core/all-DLC colony sessions and active/paused UI checks. See the acceptance report.
The seven ZIPs contain six separate mod packages and one source starter kit. Only SimLOD is required; choose optional consumers/examples as needed. Every package includes MIT licensing. release-manifest.json pins package files/source inputs; SHA256SUMS.txt pins all ZIPs and the manifest. No game DLLs or test fixtures ship.
The agreed opt-in framework feature scope is complete. The next recommendation is a small external provider/player beta. This release does not establish whole-game TPS gains, arbitrary existing-colonist conversion or map virtualization. Histories remain saved and consume storage.
SimLOD 1.1.0
SimLOD 1.1.0 — Provider starter and localization
SimLOD's opt-in framework now includes a standalone provider source kit, concise authoring/recovery guidance and UI text prepared for translation. The starter compiles outside the repository against an extracted public SimLOD DLL and your installed RimWorld assemblies. It creates one saved abstract clock only when requested.
Both relays and the recovery window use English localization keys; the relay labels/descriptions support Def injection. Text scrolls and buttons accommodate longer translated labels. English is the only shipped translation. Technical logs and raw native/provider failures retain their existing diagnostic text.
Validation passes 36 model groups and 125 focused native assertions. Native checks cover the extracted starter, key formatting and English fallback, actual colony jobs and save/load, a genuine 1.0 survey save, actual 0.6 pending/prepared saves and the original 0.6 consumer binary. The public API remains at 306 unchanged lines; framework CLR identity 0.1.0.0, archive 2 and native journal 3 are preserved. The broader 819-assertion 1.0 acceptance remains a separate historical baseline.

Extract the mod packages without extra nesting, keep one copy of each, and restart after changing mods. Back up saves before upgrading and replace complete package folders between game sessions. The starter README and provider guide give its build command. Installation, translation guidance and the validation report provide details.
Supported target: Windows RimWorld 1.6.4871 rev591, Core and explicit providers on existing maps. Other profiles are sampled, not broadly certified. This release does not add automatic map virtualization or arbitrary colonist conversion. Tests are scripted first-party scenarios; no independent adoption or new performance claim is implied. Packages contain MIT-licensed SimLOD code and documents, with no native game DLLs or test fixtures.
SimLOD 1.0.0
SimLOD 1.0.0
The first bounded opt-in framework release provides persistent abstract records, deterministic scheduled updates, generated-Pawn materialization, retained native identity, explicit reconciliation and saved recovery. It targets Windows RimWorld 1.6.4871 rev591 with Core; additional profiles are sampled in the acceptance report.
Two optional integrations demonstrate the public API. Visitor Relay invites and returns the same three native individuals. Survey Relay follows twelve hourly reports using only abstract state, without Pawns or dependencies on the example providers. The framework starts empty when enabled alone.
Beta testing found and fixed a long-visit problem: unassigned visitors could fall through to RimWorld's exit-map AI. The relay now uses native visit duties, releases retained members through native notifications that dispose of empty AI groups, and persists the group's scalar ID so death/transfer cannot leave a dangling Lord reference. Construction, drafting interruption, movement, deconstruction, rebuilding and save/load sessions are covered by scripted native colony tests.
The frozen 306-line framework API remains unchanged from RC1. Provider API 1 and compatible preview API 0 remain supported; CLR identity stays 0.1.0.0, abstract archive 2 and native journal 3. Genuine 0.3–0.6 save inputs and the original 0.6 consumer binary are included in upgrade acceptance.

SHA256SUMS.txt verifies all six ZIPs and release-manifest.json. The manifest records packaged files, exact DLL hashes and the release's source content. Each package includes the MIT license. No game binaries, textures copied from the game, or test fixture assemblies are distributed; Defs reference installed native assets.
Back up a save before upgrading, close the game and replace complete package folders. Keep the matching framework/provider/consumer enabled while their state exists. To recover a missing provider, re-enable that version and reload the preserved save. Already lost native Pawns cannot be reconstructed from their IDs. See the installation guide.
Validation and scope
The 1.0 acceptance report and its machine-checked summary pin the exact selected binaries and tests. Native scenarios run in disposable game/config copies; originals remain unchanged. Automated native play does not establish independent human playtesting, gameplay balance or third-party adoption.
A native relationship-reference limitation remains documented separately, including a reproduction without SimLOD and an excluded all-DLC beta run involving a nonmember world Pawn. Strict log checking stays enabled. Retained individuals remain full native Pawn graphs; receipt history is preserved, and whole-game TPS gains are not promised.
Automatic map virtualization, arbitrary existing-colonist conversion, broad mod interoperability and Multiplayer are outside 1.0. Report reproducible issues through the bug-report form.
