W6OZZ CPS 1.4.0 for Mac (preview)
Pre-releasePreview of the Mac version of W6OZZ CPS 1.4.0. The Windows release of 1.4.0 is here.
Write your codeplug straight to the radio, no CPS needed
Radio > Write codeplug to radio reads the radio, shows what will change, saves what was on it, sends the new codeplug the way the BTECH CPS does and checks it. Radio > Read codeplug from radio brings what is on the radio into a project. The same on Windows and on a Mac, over the radio's USB cable. The CSV export for the BTECH CPS is still there as the alternative.
What has been tested on a real Mac, and what has not
Tested by a person on an Apple Silicon Mac (macOS, 2026-10-07): the build, Help > Diagnostics, the map, the new-codeplug wizard from the region step to the zones step, radio detection (/dev/cu.usbmodem*), Radio > Read codeplug from radio, and Radio > Write codeplug to radio (a small codeplug, read back identical, radio working afterwards).
Not yet tested by a person on a Mac, only built and run on a GitHub macOS machine: RepeaterBook, Find repeaters online, Browse BrandMeister, Check repeaters for updates, the route builder, zone views, GPS zone switching, Save / Open, Export CSV, Radio > Restore, trackpad pinch zoom. Expect rough edges and please report what you find.
Always keep a backup of your codeplug (a CPS .rdt made on Windows) before the first write.
Install (Terminal, no Gatekeeper warning)
Apple Silicon (M1 and later; uname -m prints arm64):
cd ~/Downloads
curl -LO https://github.com/travaniel/dmr-codeplug-builder/releases/download/mac-preview-1.4.0/W6OZZ-CPS-mac-arm64.zip
ditto -x -k W6OZZ-CPS-mac-arm64.zip /Applications
open "/Applications/W6OZZ CPS.app"
Intel Macs (uname -m prints x86_64): use W6OZZ-CPS-mac-x64.zip instead.
Install (browser)
Download the zip for your Mac, unzip it, drag W6OZZ CPS.app to Applications, then right-click it, choose Open, then Open. If macOS says it is damaged: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/W6OZZ CPS.app" and open it again.
The app has an ad-hoc signature (no Apple developer account), so macOS asks once on a browser download.
Please test
Follow the checklist: https://github.com/travaniel/dmr-codeplug-builder/blob/main/docs/MAC-TESTING.md
Start with Help > Diagnostics, then the wizard and map, then Radio > Read codeplug from radio. If the radio is not found, Radio > Radio port... lets you pick the port. Copy the Diagnostics report into an issue: https://github.com/travaniel/dmr-codeplug-builder/issues
What it does
Builds codeplugs for the BTECH DMR-6X2 PRO: a map-based new-codeplug wizard, repeater / hotspot / zone / talkgroup editing, CSV export for the CPS (Tool > Import > Import From File List), and reading and writing the radio over USB.

SHA-256 checksums are in SHA256SUMS.txt. Built by the "Mac build and checks" workflow from commit 86015f0: the 1.4.0 release plus a draggable divider on the Repeaters and Zones tabs and grid columns that share a wider window. (The release tag marks the earlier 1.4.0 commit, 448d9bf; the zips here are newer.)
