Added

  • Tasks can have a time. Write it right after the date, like 2026-10-30 15:00 or 2026-10-30 3pm, or type fri 3pm in quick add. The time shows on the row, sorts the day, and turns red once it's gone by. Pick 24-hour or 12-hour under Settings → Sidebar Highlights and Tasks → Tasks → Time format (either one is read).
  • You can add, change or remove a time wherever you set a date. Quick add's date chip, the task card and the date step in ⌘K each have Add time and Remove time. Moving a task to another day keeps its time.
  • Tasks with a time remind you. While Obsidian is open, your computer shows a notification at the task's time, or a little before if you'd like (Settings → Reminders → When to remind me). Click it to jump to the task. On a phone or tablet the reminder shows inside Obsidian, and reminders you missed while Obsidian was closed show as soon as it's back. Test reminder checks that notifications get through.
  • Your tasks can live in your calendar, too. Connect Google Calendar, Outlook, iCloud or another CalDAV calendar under Settings → Sidebar Highlights and Tasks → Calendar, and your dated tasks show up as events in a calendar of their own, with an alert at their time. Your phone reminds you even with Obsidian closed.
  • Calendar sync goes both ways. Drag an event to another day and its task moves with it. Delete an event and the task's date is cleared, with a short note under the task saying why. Complete a task and its event goes. Calendar sync is part of Power-Up, the same subscription that runs Describe in Oriko; everything else in the plugin stays free.

Changed

  • Capitalize tasks writes Title Case as you type. With it on, every word you add or rename starts with a capital, except small words like a, the and to. Links, tags and code are left as written.

Fixed

  • Tasks you add in Today are due today. Quick add from the Today list fills in today's date, so the new task stays where you put it.
