Discussion Workflow for the TrueAsync Working Group

1. Moderator

The moderator directs the discussion. Their role is to maintain focus, structure the conversation, and prevent chaos.

2. Discussion Stages

The discussion is divided into stages.
Each stage has clearly defined goals set in advance.
A stage concludes with a summary of key points and, if needed, a vote.

3. Participation Policy

• The main discussion stage is limited to members of the working group.
• The group composition may change from stage to stage.
• All other participants may create separate topics and questions outside the main stage.
• The moderator may add new members at any time.

4. Topic Management

During the main discussion, the moderator may:

• identify a topic that distracts from the current stage,
• pause its discussion,
• move it to the task list.

Such topics are recorded as Issues marked as TODO with a brief description.

5. Recording Results

The results of each stage are documented in the repository as a short summary stored in:

/theses

Each document includes:

• the key theses from the stage,
• links to all related discussions (Discussions, Issues, chats, etc.).

The author of the document is not important — accuracy and clarity are.

I think the important bit is that this needs to align with RFC process. It should ideally lead to producing the RFC version that irons out all raised issues and goes to RFC vote which might raise new issues and reasons why people voted no. We should expect that it might get rejected multiple times so the main challange will be to find something that is acceptable.
