Versed 0.8.0
- Keyboard shortcuts on Now Playing: Space plays or pauses, the arrow keys skip 5 seconds, Shift and an arrow changes song, and Ctrl+C copies the line being sung. Press ? anywhere to see them all, including the Ctrl+Alt ones that work from any app.
- Songs without a cover now show the artist's photo, so the window and your status still get the song's colors. When Versed can't be sure who the artist is, it shows a soft black and white cover instead of an empty square.
- Settings has a list of sections on the right that follows you as you scroll. Click one to jump to it.
- Hovering a bar in Stats shows its time next to the bar, so it no longer covers the chart's title.
- "Connect Discord" on Now Playing now takes you to the Discord page, and the status checklist mentions that Discord in a browser can't show your status.
Versed 0.7.0
- Windows: hover Versed in the taskbar for previous, play/pause and next buttons under the preview.
- Drag a .lrc or .txt file onto Now Playing to use it as the song's lyrics. A panel shows where to drop it and confirms when it's added.
- Songs with no lyrics now show the song where the lyrics would be, with Search again and an Add lyrics button to pick a file.
- Lyrics you added can be removed: click Remove next to "your lyrics", then Confirm, and Versed searches for lyrics again.
- A tidier Now Playing: no status line under the greeting while a song plays, a lighter Timing row, and a quieter credit line.
- Songs without a cover show the Versed logo cleanly on the profile preview, without a light edge around it.
Versed 0.6.1
- Pop-ups like What's new, the lyric card and the Spotify import now dim the whole window, top bar included, and the lyric card sits in the middle of the window.
Versed 0.6.0
- A fresh look: the whole window now sits on a soft, blurred wash of the song's cover, so every song brings its own colors. It turns grey when the song is paused or sharing is off. Big lyrics uses it too.
- Now Playing greets you by name, says what your status is doing, and shows how long you've listened this week. Click that number to open Stats.
- With nothing playing, Now Playing lists the last songs you played.
- Rounder buttons and softer cards all through the app.
- macOS: if updates can't install because Versed is running from the disk image or straight from Downloads, Versed now tells you to move it to Applications instead of saying it couldn't reach GitHub. Other update errors say which step failed.
Versed 0.5.2
- Lyric cards come in three shapes: Wide, Square for posts, and Story for Instagram and TikTok stories.
- Status not showing? The Discord page now checks the usual reasons (Discord closed, sharing paused, the app turned off under Sources, a blocklisted song) and gives you a button to fix each one.
- Browser videos only show on your status when they turn out to be songs, so vlogs and tutorials stay private. Change it in Sources under Browser videos.
- Cleaner titles from YouTube and other sites, including "| Official Video", 【MV】, hashtags, and K-pop and J-pop titles like IVE 'I AM' MV.
- Songs without a cover now show the Versed logo instead of an empty card, and Edge, Vivaldi and Arc get their own badges.
Versed 0.5.1
- Compact player: pick Compact under Overlay > Player for a slim bar with your cover, the line being sung and a thin progress line. Rest your mouse on it and the controls come up.
- The player can show romanization and lowercase lyrics. It follows your Display settings until you change them in the player's own settings.
- Press Ctrl+Alt+L to show or hide the player from anywhere.
- During long breaks in a song, the player shows when the next line starts ("starts in 0:14").
Versed 0.5.0
- Player overlay: a now-playing card that floats over every app, with the line being sung, the next one, and a soft glow in your cover's colors. Clicks pass through it until you rest your mouse on it, then previous, play/pause, next and a bar you can drag come up. Turn it on in Overlay, under Player. It sits in the top-right corner; press Move player to drag it anywhere or resize it.
- Import your Spotify history: add the plays from your Spotify data download to Stats, years of them with the extended streaming history. Choose the ZIP in Stats, or drop it on the page. You see what's in it before anything is saved, plays Versed already counted are skipped, and you can remove the import anytime.
- Stats by year: pick any year with plays, see a bar for each year under All time, and phone listening shows up under "Where you listen" when it comes from Spotify.
- The lyrics overlay now shows over every app, fullscreen or not.
Versed 0.4.4
Marks Lyric and next as the fastest status layout.
Versed 0.4.3
- Fixed pausing or playing from Versed sometimes stuttering: the song no longer starts again for a moment and jumps back.
- Song changes are smoother: the new cover comes into focus and the title and artist slide in.
- The glow behind the song dims and turns grey while you pause the music or sharing, and comes back when you play.
- New words fade in on the "On your profile" preview when a line goes to Discord.
- macOS: the window now has the usual red, yellow and green buttons, and "Nothing playing" only names Spotify and Apple Music.
- macOS: if you said no when macOS asked whether Versed may control Spotify or Music, Versed now tells you and opens the right settings page.
- Calmer in-between screens: a logo fade while Versed starts, gently moving bars while nothing plays, and the Stats layout while it loads.
Versed 0.4.2
- macOS: fixed the first launch taking minutes to ask for permission to read Spotify or Music. The question now comes up right away.
