Codex Evolve v0.2.0

This stable release adds a deterministic, observable evolution runner and updates the default model profiles for the current GPT lineup.

Highlights

  • Run seeded candidate populations through deterministic grouping, disagreement-based routing, and configurable population updates.
  • Bound concurrency and per-worker runtime, report worker progress and heartbeats, and cancel cleanly on SIGINT or SIGTERM.
  • Route strong work to Sol with high reasoning, balanced work to Terra with high reasoning, and cheap work to Luna with extra-high reasoning.
  • Ship a Codex-compatible stable plugin manifest with self-contained Apache 2.0 license and notice files for plugin and skill-only installs.
  • Cover release metadata and default model profiles with regression tests.

Validation

  • 14 tests pass on Node.js 22.
  • The Node.js 18.3 compatibility job passes.
  • Manifest parsing, runner syntax checks, legal-file checks, and GitHub CI pass.
