v0.22.0 — wire suppress_activate + help_links
What's new in v0.22.0
Second wave of whitelabel toggles. Two more of the four reserved toggles from v0.21.0 ship a working WP-side handler.
suppress_activate
Hides the inline "Plugin activated." / "Plugin deactivated." / "Plugin deleted." notice WordPress renders on wp-admin/plugins.php after a state-change action.
The notice is rendered by an echo in core's plugins.php template (not via the admin_notices action), so there's no hook to unhook. We inject scoped CSS on the admin_print_styles-plugins.php action — only when the toggle is ON and a state-change query arg is present — to hide the .wrap > #message / .wrap > .notice.updated.notice-success divs WordPress outputs.
The plugin's actual activation isn't affected — only the leak-y confirmation banner.
help_links
Strips URL-bearing items from the plugin row meta line (View details, Visit plugin site, "By Author") across all plugin rows. When help_links_url is set in the dashboard config, appends a single "Support" anchor pointing at the operator-configured URL.
Version + plain-text meta items are preserved.
Applies to all rows (not just the connector's) — matches the agency-rebrand UX promise of one Support destination across the whole plugins list.
Internals
Added Branding::getToggleString() helper alongside the existing isToggleOn(). Same per-request cache via a shared loadToggles() backing method. Will be reused by the v0.23.0 image-URL toggles.
Wire contract
No change. WhitelabelRoute already accepted both keys in v0.21.0 — this release just wires the WP-side behavior.
Still reserved (not yet wired)
custom_login— login screen logo override (URL + accent color)adminbar_logo— admin bar logo node override (URL)
Both image-URL based; landing in v0.23.0 once the image-URL handling pattern is worked out and visually reviewed on the wptestes connector.
Upgrading: drop in deckwp-connect.zip or self-update via the DeckWP dashboard. No DB migration. Existing whitelabel configs continue to work unchanged.
