What's new

  • Message your agents from your iPhone. Ducky can now open an agent's conversation, show recent replies, and send it a message. To turn this on, choose Pair iPhone… on the Mac, tick Allow conversations with agents, and approve with Touch ID. Phones you paired before stay status-only until you pair again this way.
    • A message is delivered once, exactly to the agent you picked, and only while that agent is idle with an empty prompt and you haven't typed in its terminal for two minutes. If delivery is uncertain, Ducky marks it unknown instead of sending it again.
    • Messages that start with !, / or # are refused, because Claude Code and Codex treat those as shell commands, slash commands or memory notes rather than messages to the agent.
    • Revoking a phone or turning Ducky off cancels anything still queued.
    • Access covers every session in this DuckTerm on this Mac.
  • Folders and search in Ducky. The phone lists all your sessions in collapsible folders, with search. Test sessions are hidden.
  • Sent messages are tracked in a separate private file (ducky-messages/receipts.sqlite, readable only by you). Message text is removed once a message is delivered, cancelled or expired, and records are kept for 24 hours.
  • Messaging needs Ducky TestFlight build 5 or later.

Each also has a versioned copy (DuckTerm-<Edition>-0.4.192-macos-arm64.zip). All are notarized and need macOS 13 or later on Apple silicon. No changes to DuckTerm's main database. If you also use the pipx install: opening an app with no DuckTerm server running moves DuckTerm's hooks to that app, and duckterm install-hooks from the pipx install moves them back.
