The AppImage bundles Python, PyGObject, GTK 4 and libadwaita. On first launch it installs the small root helper once through pkexec; set PDANET_SKIP_HELPER_INSTALL=1 to skip that prompt.

The native packages require libadwaita 1.5 or newer and Python 3.10 or newer. Distributions with older libraries should use the AppImage. To avoid daily authentication prompts, run sudo pdanet-linux passwordless once after installing a native package.

Highlights

• USB, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth tethering, reverse PdaNet server mode, IPv6 leak protection, cellular signal display, tray icon and a first-run setup flow.
• All release assets are produced by GitHub Actions, and SHA256SUMS is attached to this release.
• The AppImage now bundles the Gtk-4.0, Gdk-4.0 and Gsk-4.0 typelibs, so it starts on hosts whose GTK version differs from the build environment.
• The package removal scripts clean up the optional passwordless rule on Arch and Alpine as well.

Superseded by v0.1.3. The AppImage in this release does not bundle the GTK 4 typelibs and can fail on systems whose GTK differs from the build host. The .deb/.rpm/Arch/APK packages are not affected; use the v0.1.3 AppImage instead.
